  1. I have a club tournament on St. clair on Sunday and I haven't been out there in a while? Any suggestions on spots? We're launching in the river (St. Clair). Should I go with fishing the river or has the lake been better? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  2. I store my hooks, sinker, and jigheads in various plano utility boxes separated into sizes, styles, and weights, but they always seem to get mixed up inside the box. Then I have to hold up the hooks next to each other and try to figure out if its a 3/0 or a 4/0, etc. Does anyone know a way to make these items stay in there compartment?
  3. I agree with fourbizzle, but sometimes I use the Owner Mosquito ;D
  4. My Lucky Craft LV 500 pearl ayu...until I lost it yesterday on Lake St. Clair... >
  5. When all else fails, try a drop shot: 6 or 8 lb test fluoro, a 4 inch Roboworm on a #4 dropshot hook with a 1/8 oz. sinker... Works for me.
  6. What is the best dropshot hook? Gammy dropshot, Owner Mosquito, or something else?
  7. sounds like i'll have to give 'em a try! thanks for the input.
  8. What's the verdict on the new Gammy Skip Gap Hooks? Do they keep the bait from sliding? Need to know before I stock up, should I get some of these or stick with EWG's.
  9. Well said Jnamo! I'm a proud fellow Michiganian... They showed that driveby about 20 times and they showed KVD creeping up in the standing but didn't have a camera on him...But then again, who could ever have predicted that KVD would take the lead--duh--nice work ESPN.
  10. Telling a bass junky like me to keep color choices simple is like telling Imelda Marcos to have only one pair of shoes. While I would like to keep it simple, the Bait Monkey is not on the same page...
  11. The only area of tackle purchasing where I have no hesitation with brand is with buying reels----Shimano makes great spinning reels and I have several that have performed flawlessly for several years. I used 4000's before I learned to use a baitcaster and they were great with heavier line. Now I use mostly 2500 Symetres with 6 and 8 lb. test and they are great.
  12. From what I've tried, I like the original Rad Lures Chatterbait best. I've tried the Venom knock-off and the Gambler version but these were not as productive. What I like about the original Chatterbait is that the blade is connected directly to the jighead without a split ring. That split ring whcih is included on some of the other versions gets tangled sometimes and I also think that the Chatterbait produces a more erratic, unrpedictable action.
  13. This bait was my best soft plastic for big bass last summer. I T-rig it as in Lightning Rod's picture and use 15 lb. flouro on a MH bc rod.
  14. What I meant was like what baitmonkey 12 wrote...like: 1. LC pointer 78 2. Megabass Pop X 3. etc.....
