  1. I have recently acquired two BPS Extreme rods at a good price. On is a 7 1/2 foot heavy action casting rod that i put an extreme baitcaster on. Its good for i think 15-30lb line and 1/2-3 oz lures. Second is a 6 foot medium action spinning rod that i will put a abu garcia cardinal on. Thought about using it for crappie, trout, etc. What do you guys think the best use for these 2 rods is?
  2. Well i'm not new to fishing, but i'm just starting to really get into learning all the different techniques. I mostly fish for bass, crappie, and trout in ponds and lakes here in western nc. My current setups are a 6' 9" kistler magnesium Medium heavy with a quantam energy e760 baitcaster, a 6' 6" Medium, fast, BPS extreme xps spinning rod with a pflueger supreme 8035, and another extreme xps 6' light with a abu garcia cardinal 101. Just wanting to know whats the best for what, ie plastics, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, crankbaits, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  3. Thanks for all the help, took it back today and got another one!
  4. I just bought one today, and it has a little clicking noise i here when reeling. Took it apart and didn't notice anything, anybody have this issue? Is it normal or should i take it back?
  5. I'll be mostly fishing swimbaits, crankbaits, plastics, jigs, spinnerbaits, etc.
  6. I was thinking a medium power also, just couldn't decide on length and action. For big bass fishing i've got a 6' 9" mh x-fast baitcasting rod that i'm buying a reel for, so i dont need anything too close to that.
  7. Just bought a pflueger supreme 8035 reel, and want some rod recommendations. I am leaning towards the BPS extreme rods because i've heard good things and they are on sale, but what weight, length, and action should i get for this reel? I'll be mostly pond and lake fishing it for bass, crappie, etc. Biggest fish will probably be 5-8lb max (largemouth). Thanks for the help, just want a good all around rod.
