  1. I used to be a fan of power pro. But the last three tourneys i have BROKEN fish off using 50 lb power pro flipping and pitching deep tree tops. Yes i retie quite often and it is pretty new line. Needless to say it has been taken off my reels. Just keep an eye on it.
  2. dont but the spro frog knockoff they are horrible. i bought two at the same time. took the first out of the package and it sank. checked it and couldnt find anything wrong. tried again and it sinked. well i took the other out of the package and brand new same thing. idk what is causing it but i wont be buying anymore of them.
  3. Hey guys i am looking into the 7'6" MH/Fast for my deep cranks (14' plus) has anybody tried the bps cranking stick. seems like a good deal for 69.99
  4. I am a huge fan of h2o hard baits. I have been using the same charturese with black back shallow crankbait all year and it has caught at least 60+ fish and it still looks and runs brand new. I have never had to tune one out of the box. they have great hooks and the price is unbeatable.
  5. Great suggestions thanks. I picked up one of the skeets today the bigger crankbait rod and it seemed a little heavy even compared to the bps cranking stick. I am really liking that all-star and shimano.
  6. Hey guys well its my first fathers day and my wife asked what i wanted. I really need a good deep diving crankbait rod. I am going to pair it with the low geared pro q from bps. i will be throwing cranks in the 12ft plus range. All different sizes and brands. She said i was limited to $100. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  7. What a waste of talent. IMO
  8. ummmm yeah i would think so. $4 jigs for .50 cent a piece. yeah seems pretty good to me
  9. Actually picked those up today to try out. 4/0 and 5/0. I am going to heat shrink a bait keeper. The barbs dont really hold the bait too well.
  10. Wow guys thanks for all the rgeat advice. some really good looking hooks there. Looking forward to trying them out. Looks like i can really cross there eyes with those things.
  11. Hey guys what is your favorite flipping hook? My buddy loves the Trokar but i just cant justify paying $2 for a hook. I will be flipping space monkeys, beavers, and brush hogs on 1/2 oz-1oz tungsten and 50lb braid. thanks for the input.
  12. maybe so.. i know that the local store is remodeling but i really dont think that had anything to do with it. Maybe u can get that deal too.
  13. My buddy called me yesterday and told me our favorite jigs were on sale @ the local wally world. The jigs are the swim n flip and football jigs from strikezonelure.com in all sizes and colors they offered. they also had their replacement skirts and master blaster spinnerbaits all on sale for .50 cents a piece. We bought all they had. Got a full jig box now. ;D

  17. haha i guess so.. its this rod but possibly last years model. He bought it in Janurary. is there alot of diff. in the 09 and 10 models? http://www.kistlerrods.com/p/KR/c-magnesium-ts-fishing-rods/MgADPT78T.html
  18. Hey guys i have been using a st croix mojo 7' H with my big jigs and big creature baits. I really not liking the rod too well and was thinking about changing. Do any of you have or know somebody who has the 7'8" H Kistler Magnesius and if so how do you like it. I have a friend who will part with his for $75 he bought it last year but doesnt use it as much as he thought he would. He lives out of town and i dont want him bringing the rod if im unsure. I am hoping it is alot lighter and not so tip heavy. Will i be $75 satisfied. because i do have a rod. Just not a great rod. Sorry so long but thanks for any advice.
  19. my buddy picked up three of the pro qualifiers this weekend and i just threw them around a little and they are really sweet reels. they feel and cast alot like my revos. should be a good buy for u.

  21. Great fish man. Really pretty color to it.
  22. Me and my buddy hit a local pond this moring on my 2-man boat and we hammered them. We ended up catching 32. Started off with flukes and when the sun came up he started catching them on a weedless wacky rig and i was puttin them in the boat with a blk/blu perfect jig and netbait mad paca. Most fish were around the 1.5-2lb mark but we also caught some 3lbrs too. And i caught this ole gal on the mad paca. Had scales with me this time. She was an ounce shy of 7 weighing in @ 6-15. All in all great morning fishing and its just soooo much mun fishing ponds. A little stress relief before our next tourney next weekend.
