Anyone been out there yet? I called the bait shop today. They said they were launching all day from the dixie ramp into open water only a few chunks in the bay. just curious if anyone caught anything. I am going sunday afternoon and was hoping to hear good news. The weather isnt gonna be pretty but I am going anyway... Who knows maybe 1 of those 8 lbers will find my bait in his mouth, or I will even take 1 of those 50+ inch muskies.WOOO HOOOO I just cant wait. let me know guys if you did or heard anything thanks..

Yeh I was desperate on Sun afternoon a buddy and I borrowed a boat and motor went to the st joe river in fort wayne No real fish but my friend Snagged a nasty old 5lb carp by the tail w/ a crankbait not excactly productive but I will say that I wish I would have snagged that dang thing...LOL oh yeh and a guy at the ramp had actually caught 4 carp on worms he was releasing them as we went in. Boy was it nice to be out!!!!

Does any one have any idea about fishing Lake James, right after the ice comes off. I am trying to get ready for my first tournament ever, and its at the end of march. really wondering if its worth entering? Any help is greatly appreciated. ie(baits, colors, techniques, hot spots etc....)

I fish lakes with alot of shad here in indiana and man there are some toads I would say keep it slow and big baits for a few outings. try to hook one of those monster bass

Hello Ft wayne here just curious has anyone done well on lake james at the end of march? If so what were you using? I have a tournament on the 27th.(pending ice off) It will be my first one. just trying to figure somethings out. thats one lake I have never fished.
