  1. Sad to say, But the rules are there for us honest people. Those who fish for the love of the sport (catch and release advocate) abide. Those who don't care about the resource are the violators.
  2. Yep, had 3 channels, all in black and white.
  3. As they say, : big baits catch big fish : maybe a swim bait, big worm/lizard or a jig. keep in mind that big fish got that way by being smart and not wasting energy etc. Presentation, LOTS of patience, right place, conditions and luck will do it for you
  4. Slow down man! I feel ya! Been there Done that! Concentrate more on the fishing vice catching aspect. It'll come around. Look at the seasonal pattern, lures, area, retrieve, and feel. Just relax, enjoy, and the catch will come.
  5. Flippin a worm/jig/craw would be good once you located the fish. Pitching a spinnerbait with willowleaf blades in that case is a great locator lure. Also a buzzbait or chatterbait, depending on the clarity of the water and the cloud cover. Yes, even sometimes a Rapala on top, but have to be brave!
  6. I would be fishing slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Downsize the lure/line and rod. Thats the best i can give you for those conditions.
  7. I think everyone should have a goal for the season. Mine is to get better at fishing underwater structure. One thing you mentioned, was learning to fish a jig better, Great!. Years ago I was in a small Bass club in Jax. Fl., one guy in the club would take a new lure each year, and learn it in depth. I mean he learned to fish it as many ways as possible. Believe it or not, he was always in contention. By doing this, it not only familiarized him with the lure, but also rigging methods, various retrieves, and most of all, His Tackle. Great fishing!
  8. I know exactly what your talking about. Not getting to worked up just to catch a fish, I prefer to relax, and just enjoy the outdoors.
  9. All the tips are great! Key in on the fish not seeing you ( long casts ) and definitely smaller line
