that was a once in a lifetime deal boys. I stocked up HARD and blew a big wad of cash on that run. Glad I did. I don't think that was 'normal' and we likely won't see it again. Heck TW is hard pressed to offer anything over 15%, and copper state is being generous to give us 25%! BUTTTTTTT let me know if any of that pure fishing comes along again, I'll need another year to still recover haha

I'd had never heard of amazon haul, but checked it out. It's some subsite of amazon where they are trying to clear a bunch of crap out. They had some decent name brand stuff, but you gotta pick through it, etc. Ended up picking up senkos for 2.50 a bag, KVD jerkbaits for 50% off, rage swimmers for 2.50, red eye shad for 3 bucks, etc. Thanks for the tip!

I went camping with the family a few weeks ago at a 1000-acre reservoir in California. I would fish from the bank a hour here and there occasionally. Caught a fair share of 1-2lb fish, until I got the big momma. Since I was just fishing from the bank and would ride my bike to the fishing spot, I didn’t have a scale, go figure… I can’t tell if this thing was 5lbs? 8lbs? 10lbs? I guess we will never know, but I would love to hear your guesses. Fish was caught on a Berkley Dredger 17.5 since I was fishing a deep point and the wind was blowing 20mph… There was a good bush line and I could feel the crank ticking the tops of the bushes and then hooked the fish. I forgot to add, I didn't have a net either... haha glad it was hooked good, sliding it up onto the bank, little sketchy on a fish that size with no net! With no net and no scale, that's probably the only reason I even got to catch this fish, murphys law!

scoretracker is showing wheeler caught zero fish without live scope? pretttty wild. shows you how much so many anglers seem to be relying on live scope, and two other periods they flat out blank? hmmmmm maybe i'm missing something...

I don't have the time to pre-fish and the money to throw into the 'pot' to hope I win. Always lots of competitors and chances of winning are pretty slim. Plus, most of the tourneys around here end up with bad weather and you gotta show up no matter what. I would rather fish for fun, enjoy the sport, and go when weather is at least semi-favorable, etc. Just my .02 cents.

Good ol’ California, got this guy in a small local lake in about 2-3ft of water in the evening flipping a rage bug near some tules. Weather has been very nice, but we definitely need some rain.
