REDCREST 2022 ~ Grand Lake O' The Cherokees
I just heard Connell say that a few of his spots are 'blown out'... I thought wind was good for fishing? Maybe there is such a thing as 'too much' wind? If so, what is that?

It kills me MLF C&R for the win for me.

Gamakatsu G Finesse Cover Neko Hook
The hookup ratio seems like it would be pretty bad with this setup. Any users able to comment how it's been going for them?

B.A.S.S Vs MLF
Well... I guess I have to throw in my .02 cents because everyone else has. Overall, I gravitate way more towards MLF, here's a few thoughts: Their video production and audio are far better than BASS. Watching BASS is like watching grainy video from the 90s. MLF did it right, they got way better cameras, more clear, way better microphones, etc. Very polished production, but I know all that costs money. But I would think BASS should have plenty of money to spend on production things. It's like BASS is using 3G modems and MLF is using 5G high speed stuff. I like how MLF weighs the fish and handle the fish. I just saw Ike railing fishing on BASS tourney all over the carpet. Not great for the fish in my opinion. One aspect I like of BASS is they actually show you a map with the guys on the lake. MLF has access to the map because the announcers talk about it, but they will never show it on air, which is super annoying. BASS has done good by adding bass trak, but then it makes the weigh ins pretty boring, which I never watch. MLF is the same, all the suspense is throughout the day, not really after boats get off the water. Seems like 90% of the 'big guys' are all on MLF. There's a few that have gone back to BASS but I like following the guys on MLF. MLF format can be confusing to some, but I understand it all perfectly, so it works for me. LOL, not starting any fights, just my opinions, etc. Overall, I'm glad both organizations exist, the more fishing the better in my opinion!

Haha but you didn't call him to tell him that. He'll maybe have to figure it out the hard way... Or... He will find a pattern you didn't. We'll see haha

'22 MLF BPT Stage 3 Lewis Smith Lake March 2-7
Here is what got published on the MLF website... So I guess this means fishing a dropshot for suspended fish. Not letting the weight sit on the bottom. Hence 'Damiki' Connell employed a drop-shot rig with a Googan Baits Drag N Drop and various other shad imitators to pick up the win, fishing them “Damiki rig” style.

How bout that camera guy who tried to put DC on the spot on live TV that the sign at the dam says stay away, and he's fishing right next to the dam? BAHAHA I mean... DC should be following any MLF rules, I assume he was in the clear, but how bout that camera guy trying to stir it up?! Side note, do we know if DC was fishing that dropshot ON THE BOTTOM or was he using it as some kind of suspended fish technique and letting it swing through the fish? or better yet, just dropping it down to the fish and he could control his depth with the FFS?

Very good chance it could be? Pretty amazing wheeler is getting some competition today. Very good to see! Even though DC is crushing it, good to see all the good anglers putting up a fight!

Most of Neal's catches in scoretracker are showing as "Not Available/Other" ... do we know what he's catching them on when it's showing 'Not Available/Other'?

With all this amazon talk, I just gotta make sure everyone knows about camelcamelcamel for price tracking. If you don't know about it, look into it

New Garmin LVS34 Livescope Plus - New and Improved Live Scope Forward Facing Sonar
LOL I think every manufacture wants me tied to them... Then you got the pro guys, who run 3 units on the front of their boat... One humminbird, one lowrance, and one garmin... Just makes our lives more difficult and not all the money is going into one manufactures pocket haha I think the bigger issues is patents. Garmin can't just 'steal' humminbirds 360 technology so they have to figure out a way around the patent, etc. I doubt they are going to pay Humminbird to license it..

Anyone see the bait DC is using? I tuned in late, looked maybe like a fluke style or swimbait on the dropshot ... couldn't tell if it had a boot tail? If he was retrieving it, or dead sticking it, etc...

The million dollar question is WHEN WILL GARMIN PUSH OUT A 360 version? THAT would be pretty nice Humminbird mega360 will be somewhat tough to beat, they've done a good job on that.

Looks like we got a glitch in the scoretracker reporting for wheelers fish. That last 3-05 he caught, scoretracker shows: Soft Plastic - Shaky Head Mid Section Main Lake Offshore 20+ 11:36 am When I'm 99.9% sure that was caught on a jigging rap?

hahah he's had plenty of wins. It's good there is still some competition out there. I always worry he's blowing everyone out and is always going to win...

MLF Bass Pro Tour Toro Stage Two on Lake Fork, TX ~
JR wins it. So glad to see it go to home. He's a solid dude, humble and put in some work. He deserved that win. Ebare, barely missed it, but he's the rookie, he'll have to put in some more time. It would have been weird to win a stage so fast!! Wheeler sure pushed hard and got towards the top but couldn't quite make it happen. He's REALLY good, but obviously still has limits... He's still human... I'm glad guys are still giving him some competition!!

MLF Bass Pro Tour Toro Stage Two on Lake Fork, TX ~
I love how the camera guys quiz the fisherman and make them lose their focus and train of thought when they need 110% to be focusing right now. It could make them miss a bite or not have as good as strategy, etc. JR is barely hanging on, I'm really hoping he makes it!!

MLF Bass Pro Tour Toro Stage Two on Lake Fork, TX ~
Yeah, seriously...

MLF Bass Pro Tour Toro Stage Two on Lake Fork, TX ~
Ebare just came through with a 6-8 to take the lead, and the fish had a HUGE baitfish sticking out of it's gullet, you could see the tail and everything! I know some big bass die that way as they choke and can't digest...

I really am rootin' for JR to win, but it's going to be tight....

MLF Bass Pro Tour Toro Stage Two on Lake Fork, TX ~
Wow Birge just lost a tank at the boat. Not hooked well on a jerkbait. The camera guy got the official in the background after he lost it, and the camera guy looked like he was with zero expression, hoping to add no emotion to the loss...

MLF Bass Pro Tour Toro Stage Two on Lake Fork, TX ~
That was a tough loss for Wheeler. The tough thing with little tiny trebles and only getting that back hook barely in there....

MLF Bass Pro Tour Toro Stage Two on Lake Fork, TX ~
I love that JR is leading, and that he's getting them on a crankbait, and he said almost working it like a jerkbait. Little jerks / stop and go, is what is closing the deal and getting the fish to bite. He has had a lot that are short biters, buttttttt they are getting hooked and he's able to bring em in. He's in areas with slicker water, wheeler said the slicker water can be good, but the wind is going in a lot of the lake...

MLF Bass Pro Tour Toro Stage Two on Lake Fork, TX ~
haha now wheeler coming out of no-where! he's in a spot with NO standing timber, he looks like he's way offshore in the middle of some big bay. Now he's got 3 fish and in 4th...
