  1. I've fished it once. I have a 14 foot tin boat on trailer and it was interesting getting it in and out. The 'launch' is the sandy area of a road side culvert. I needed to pull parallel to the road and kind of curve my car and boat to get it in. There is no parking and not much room for roadside parking even. I actually had to back my trailer into a hiking trail get off the road! The fishing is ok. I got about a dozen dinks on the weed edges on crankbaits. They just treated for weeds the week I went though that might have stopped the big gurls from feeding.
  2. Wow. What determination to get out there Shane. I've got cabin fever bad right now but everytime I think about going to the river, I step out, that cold air hits my face, and I turn right back around!
  3. Anybody know how fishing is in Gumpas pond in Hudson and if there is a launch?
  4. Did the NY sporting goods store sell them as bait or someting?
  5. If your into it, catch them. Off Canal street in Nashua, jump in the canal by BAE with a dip net and flip some rocks. In about an hour you'll have more than enough for a days fishing.
  6. Awesome fish! I love that place. Were there beds there? She looks spawned out.
  7. this is one of my favorite local spots too. if it makes you feel any beter, the fishing at otternic pond in hudson has improved quite a bit since they did the chemical treatment last year. i hope they dont mess this up. That's good to hear that the fishing is better in otternic after only a year. I've heard they blocked off the boat ramp there. Is that true?
  8. http://www.nashuatelegraph.com/news/727127-196/project-to-clean-up-milfoil-in-hollis.html Just saw this in the paper and thought I'd share. I have mixed emotions about this one. It's one of my favorite holes and I have a feeling fishing will not be the same there afterwards.
  9. Great fish Jawstraw! Love the fight smallies give. Is that Massabesic? I was wondering if they were on bed yet.
  10. Thanks for the info on Lovewell. Might have to go there again soon to get a mess of crappie!
  11. Welcome!!! This is a great link with a lot of local guys on. I haven't fished Lovewell in probably a dozen years but even back then it was awesome for slabs. I don't remember a boat launch on it though, I think I carried my canoe in back then. Is there one now?
  12. Glad you had some luck Tom. The milfoil will be in before you know it. Thats when I do my best ;D... Well I hope. :-/ I was walking the canals yesterday morning and were seeing bass along the edges paired up and just starting to make nests. Some were in less than 6" of water. I was wishing I had a rod in hand. How far in the canal can you take a boat from Mill pond? I have a little aluminum and it'd be fun to cruise up there.
  13. Thanks for sharing! That was freaken hilarious! I think my IQ just went down 20 points!
  14. [quote author=58534B4146405345320 I just wanted everyone to know that the NH get together still has plenty of room for anyone that wants to join us fishing on Friday May 14, 2010. Please check out the thread if you want to come. No fee or anything like that, but we may decide to do a lunker pool if folks want to. I wish I can go. Darn work getting in the way of fishing again. >
