  1. I am from central Kentucky...the heart of the bluegrass!
  2. I agree with you on fees for a website because there is no payroll tied up in working but I work in retail right now and have my whole life...my entire store operates above 35% margin....
  3. I just wanted to take a minute and say thank you.... I want to say thank you for what each and everyone of you do on a daily basis including all moderators and owners of this site. This site has been such an encouragement to me as I pursue a love for bass fishing. I have been to other forums that I will not name here and they treat people as if they didn't matter or as if they didn't care. I love how you let anyone and everyone start threads even though the topic has been brought up in the past. Most forums will shut that down and send them to a previous post. People do not post new threads on the same topics because they are too lazy to do so. They may post new threads because they are not really comfortable on a computer and they just need a quick opinion or recommendation on a question that they have or they may feel that their question is stated a little differently than someone else's. I am very grateful for the patience and input that I have been given from everyone at this forum since I have joined. I want to send a special thank you to Glenn for all of your incredible videos and for all of your patience and insight into the multitude of questions that I have asked you since I have joined the forum! Just my 2 cents
  4. Look into the Powell Diesel...from what I've heard from other people they are fantastic rods for the money
  5. I hear what everyone is saying...so what rods would you recommend for sensitivity mainly on jigs and soft plastics Texas rigged?
  6. I hear alot of people talk about the Veritas.....is this a rod that everyone thinks is very good or just good for the money spent on it?
  7. I am interested in everyone's opinions on what you think the most sensitive rod in the $100-$120 range is that still has the backbone required to another site. Thanks in advance
  8. I, too, just purchased my first baitcaster and went through the same thing you are trying to decide on...I ended up going with Lews because of the way it felt in my hand and as of right now I can say I made a very good decision. They are so smooth and I have only had 2 birds nest on about 100 casts so I am very pleased with the choice I made. Someone just posted in the flea market a barely used Lews Tournament reel that I would take a look at if I were you
  9. Welcome!!
  10. I fish mainly clear to stained water at worst and was wondering what other colors work besides green pumpkin and watermelon? I'm mainly interested in colors for soft plastics only. Any insight would be wonderful
  11. Any opinions on how to tune this reel for best usage for a beginner?
  12. To add one more thing..... What line do you recommend I spool this up with?
  13. I am very excited to say that I purchased my first baitcaster reel today after I got off work I purchased a Lew's Speed Spool 6:4:1 to go along with a 7' MH Speed Stick. Both of them together felt amazing. I cannot wait to get out and start using her! Thanks to everyone who had opinions and recommendations to all of my posts!

  15. Lew's Laser MG Speed Spool Lew's Speed Spool Lew's Tournament MG Speed Spool Which of these would you recommend? I am finding the first reel for about $80 second reel for about $100 and the third reel for about $130
  16. I think I am going to get this combo..... H2O XPRESS™ Ethos 7' MH Freshwater Casting RodLew's Speed Spool with a 6:4:1 I am wanting to keep the combo within this price range so if anyone can think of another combo I would love to hear what you have to say Thanks in advance
  17. Has anyone ever heard of this company before? They are out of Winchester, KY and from what I have been hearing they make some very quality stuff. I was just wondering if anyone had used any of their lures and what you thought of them.
  18. As a beginner the most I would be willing to pay and I would like to stay under would be about $115...sorry for not including pertinent information before...I have previously used spinning reels and would really like to get into flipping and pitching and would like to throw a baitcaster for more accuracy..I hope this helps
  19. If you had to make a top 10 list of best baitcasters for the money..... What would they be?
  20. What is your opinion of the best frog out there to use topwater. I am looking for the best action. Has anyone ever used Capt. Kens frog out of Florida?
  21. What colors would you recommend in Kentucky waters?
  22. What would you recommend for a baitcast combo My price range is btw 100-200 and I'm just loiking for a good all around setup Any help would be outstanding Thanks
  23. I was wondering what everyone thought of these lures is it worth buying 2 rc stx jerkbaits vs buying one luckycraft pointer? And was 2ordering what you thought of his square billed crankbaits.
  24. I am going to be going down to Dale Hollow Lake this year for the first time and was wanting everybody's opinion about some lures. If you could take 10 lures to Dale Hollow lake what would they be and what color. I am going to be there in late April if that helps at all. I know there is no way to determine right now what water clarity and water temperature will be during this time but any information would be helpful.
