What Do You Consider A Good Fish In Your Waters?
Depends on the water I am on My close to home lake: 0-1lb - Dink, and there are a lot of them 1-2lb - Not bad, but could do better 2-3lb - I'm getting excited, they are getting good 3-5lb - Wow, this came out of this body of water? 5-6lb - Picture moment, excited, may actually yell Over 6lbs - Adrenaline has taken over, I forget the camera and throw my pliers in the drink instead of the fish. . . (I did this last year) Numbers wise, my close to home lake produces about 0-10 per outing, so it can be great or frustrating. I have a numbers lake I fish, but they are pretty much all dinks. My profile pic comes from my numbers lake. I have pulled some nice ones out (3-5lb), but they are few and far between. I like my numbers lake though because its always fun to pull in a fish!

Brady Suspension ( 4 Games )
So what happens if the case is settled late in the season and Brady still loses and has to serve his 4 game suspension? It would be tough to watch a backup implode in the playoffs, and I am not a NE fan. Brady should sack up and take the suspension. I don't care whether he did it or not, he destroyed evidence and made himself appear guilty to all.

How Long Did It Take You To Master The Baitcaster?
I've been at it for a little over two years now and am still working out some kinks. I use 4 baitcasting rigs now and am slowly getting my confidence up. Mostly side armed casting because my overhead casting accuracy is a work in progress. I'm mostly a 3/4 caster anyway. . . I started using heavy braid since it was easier to untangle when I had a "professional overrun." Switched to flouro on most rods now and not having too many problems. I've weaned myself off the centrifugal brakes and rely mostly on mag brakes now which seems to help my distance. It does get easier, just stick with it!

New Article: Spinning Vs. Baitcasting
I grew up on spinning gear and learned how to cast accurately and minimize splash when the bait landed. I could pitch pretty darn well too. Two years ago I picked up two pro qualifier baitcasters and forced myself to learn how to use them. My accuracy is not as good with the baitcasters yet, but I can get a longer cast when needed and am slowly building my confidence in them. For me, baitcasters feel better in the hand. When I load the boat now, I pack two spinning rigs and four baitcasters. If its windy, I'll fish more with the spinning rigs. When i need my 60lb braid for fishing the heavy cover I am set with one of my baitcasters. I switch gear based on the conditions, but I find myself using my baitcasting rigs more than spinning these days. Each one is a tool. The spinning v. baitcasting war has been waging on forever. Fishing is not about what gear you use, its about how effective your are with that gear. A baitcaster will not make you a better fisherman and a spinning reel will not hinder your ability. I have a fishing buddy that brings one $30 bill dance spinning rig with him, lays it right next to my 6 rigs that cost a fortune. You know what, he catches fish just fine with that single rig, often when I'm getting skunked.

New Deck
I plan on replacing the boat once I get done with school, so about 2-3 years. I cant justify the extra expense considering I don't plan on keeping it.

New Deck
I have an old 2002 Tracker Pro V 16 that needs a new deck in the back. Old deck was rotted pretty bad so I removed it at the end of last season and cut a template with some old ply that I had lying around. I am posting because I really don't know exactly what to look for when I buy a new sheet of wood for the deck. I do know that pressure treated is a no go on an aluminum boat, but past that I really don't know what to buy. I can get marine grade ply at my local menards but I don't really understand the different ratings listed for lumber. Any help would be great. Also, can anyone recommend a good place to buy carpet.

Are You A "better" Fisherman Alone Or With Others?
I prefer fishing with a buddy. It becomes sort of a competition between the two of us, biggest bass, most caught, etc. I do plenty of fishing by myself, so for me it's nice to have that added element when by fishing buddy is there. Whether that makes me better or not I don't know, but it adds another element to it for me since I'm super competitive.

Drunk Co Worker What Do I Do?
I do not work for a union and have no experience working for a union. With that said, if the guy is a danger to others then he needs to be reported no ifs ands or buts about it. . . Would your union brothers feel differently about you if they found out you knew after this guy killed someone?!? Brotherhood is one thing, supporting a dangerous environment is another.

Bait Caster ?
When I bought my baitcaster last year I spooled it with some mono and went to practice. Every cast was a birds nest. Spooled up 50lb power pro and things got easier. I had an easier time picking the backlashes out when they did happen as well. This year I picked up a third baitcaster and spooled it with 30lb power pro. When that thing backlashes it is a pain to pick out. I think it mostly boils down to line size, at lease for me it does.

Positioning Boat. Running Trolling Motor
Open water is your friend. I learned on an aluminum boat (still run aluminum in fact) and that is how I learned. Went into an open cove and just practiced. It's hard and frustrating to learn while fishing. I took a pole with me and casted while maneuvering. Once I was comfortable with that I moved closer to shore and repeated. Kept doing that until I was comfortable fishing around objects.

Sit Back And Enjoy
I am a sucker for relaxing instrumental pieces! This is great, and very relaxing! I will have to add this to my rotation when I'm doing homework.

When Did Someone Try To Pull The Wool Over Your Eyes?
We usually use one mechanic for most things because he is reasonable and honest. Last year though, we didn't have time to drive 50 miles out of our way for a simple inspection, so we took the car to one of the local schmucks. Tried to charge the girlfriend $800 to fix some unnamed exhaust problem. . . needless to say she left without getting the "repairs" done. The car went to our regular mechanic a week later and passed with no problems. . . go figure.

Do You Hunt - If So, Check In
I hunt just about everything, but my favorite two have to be deer and turkey. Turkey is far and above the most exciting hunting I do every year, nothing like stalking a bird that will spook at the slightest glimpse of you. I get more excited over deer hunting, but have more fun turkey hunting.

Raider's Raiders
Yes, keep playing Prior. Loved watching my Chiefs sack him all the way to a 3rd and 48 (if memory serves right)! In all seriousness, I don't understand why they don't develop him on the field. Even with a good QB the Raiders still have a few seasons of suck to get through before becoming a contender again. Instead of signing the trash other teams discard let Prior develop on the field.

How Many Rods Do You Carry
I bring between 4 and 5, 2-3 baitcasters and 1-2 spinning. Never understood why someone who is not tournament fishing would need more than a hand full of rods, but I guess I'm not too impatient to retie if I need another lure to throw.
