  1. Thanks Big Tom I searched it but that thread dint come up.
  2. How do you guys apply KVD Line n lure to your line is it necessary to apply it with a cloth to the line or just spray on the spool. Also how often. Any comments would be helpful.
  3. WAVE. It's all about the MOLOPO.
  4. I like the 5:1 for all cranks. But you could use whatever ratio you want you just have to slow down the retrieve. A good size rod is 7' it adds distance to your cast compared to 6'or 6'-6", this is helpful when your casting light cranks like griffons. Medium is a good power. I use a kistler mag/ crank rattle and roll and curado E5
  5. If you want to switch line you can. Just reel the line off the reel with a spare reel then off that reel to the new one. Takes a bit of time but it can be done. This way the small coils are at the bottom of the spool still. But before you use it let a bunch of line out behind the boat and then reel in to alleviate line twist.
  6. What's the best way to utilize my line. I just spooled up a curado e7 with 10 lb yozuri. What do you guys do with the rest of the spool. Or should I use mono backing on the reel to get 2 reels full. use it for leaders etc? Or is yozuri spools of 275 just not enough?
  7. The split grip on a loomis is going to look awesome. But I doubt I'll be able to afford it.
  8. Letting it suspend for roughly 10 seconds.
  9. I would go for the kistler magnesium also the abu Garcia vendetta series are good and very affordable. But I haven't tried the bucoos yet so I can't comment.
  10. I tied to a snap and removed the split ring is it possible that the fish I just caught streched the line even though it was only small, or is there a wrong way to tie a palomar knot. Maybe it just swallowed the lure so deep that it's teeth cut the line because I was letting it pause for about 10 seconds. Who knows these are the things you try to figure out so that it doesn't happen again. ( $150 in swimbaits yeah that sucks)
  11. Just got back from fishing. I'm pretty new to expensive lures , but this winter I bought a bunch of lucky craft, megabass etc. Well I through out the aurora gold 78sp and within a couple casts caught a largemouth. I checked the line then cast again and hooked another one I set the hook and fought for a few seconds then snap. Looked at the line seems to be broke at the knot. That's one expensive lure I lost especially in Canada. Next thing I know the fish jumps about ten feet out and it was huge. I was using 12lb trilene xl and kistler 7' M. I feel like my whole day is ruined. :'(
  12. I would have bought a few rods from there discounts they send me. But I live in Canada so it doesn't really work out with the shipping and taxes. Oh well I have a few kistlers already. Wish I had a z- bone though.
  13. Power pro guy here. It works great for me. 30lb and 50lb I can cast way further then mono. Keep messing with your reel till you get it dialed in correctly.
  14. I was thinking of purchasing this reel. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what are the differences between it and the curado 200e. Or is it the JDM version of a different reel? Thanks for any input.
  15. spinning-I like my 6'9" kistler magnesium and stradic 2000fg. It just feels right casting-I like my mbr784c and curado e7.
