  1. I read the TT Review for the 7'11 and they said it was very tip heavy so I am going to (if he let's me) use it this weekend and try it out.
  2. Ok I need a flippin' stick so I was looking at the 7'6 H Vendetta cause I can get it for $43. Then I was talking to my friend yesterday and I am working out a deal with for his Quantum PT Superlight 7'11 H. I think I can get him down to atleast $60 maybe $40 or $50. So should I do this? What price would be good? Can I still buy these rods? What is there retail price right now? (i know they were $230). So should I get the Superlight, Vendetta, Veritas, or something else?
  3. I had a Cumara and didn't like it a whole lot... I had the 7'2 MH Fast and that 7'4 Heavy Smoke was more sensitive. Then it broke so I'm going to send it back and stick with $175 or less rods. I would recommend a Powell or Crucial
  4. Quantum changed their rod warranties when they released their new models. The Energy PT, which had a lifetime warranty last year, now only has a 1 yr. warranty. This is stupid! They probably "modified" it and they dropped the warranty cause they knew it was a crap rod and couldn't replace it. I'm not hating on Quantum rods but why drop a warranty like that?
  5. Ok, thank you guys for all your help, I will put in my order on Monday or Tuesday probably so this should work out pretty good.
  6. This!!! ^^^ Happens from Core 50 MGs to Abu Silver maxes at walmart! What to do: Make sure your knot where you tied the line to the spool is in-line with the spool before you tie. Most of the time it clears it right up.... If not! Spool it to another reel and yen re-spool to your reel until it works.
  7. HmH..... This makes since. I Will take this into Consideration.
  8. Thts why I am going to use them during Pre-Fish
  9. Ok I have never really fished swimbaits at all and I'm goin to order some of the 4" Huddleston Weedless Shad for my tournament on the 9th of April. I was planning on using my Flippin' Stick and 65# Braid. But I was wondering could I get by on a 7' MH Fast or M X-Fast Vendetta with 30# Braid? I want to know what is the best way to fish these baits? Best area? Best time of year? Etc. I basically want to know everything I NEED to know. BTW next weekend (April 2nd) We are gonna Pre-Fish so... If that helps, Thanks
  10. For top water it shouldn't mater because I know alot of people use braid for it. For cranking it can matter so that may change your results.
  11. My prices SX= $120 Curado= $130 So I will probably try it out
  12. I have fished both and there is a difference but not a whole lot, and if you are throwing light then get the M or MH not the H. There isn't enough tip in it to pop those light jigs.
  13. To me, that's enough of a reason to switch to micros on some of my setups. The weight difference between micros and "standard" guides can be substantial on some rods, and the weight is actually coming off the correct end for a change. True
  14. My dad owns 3 and I am seriously thinking about getting one, they are so sensitive!! I hope you have fun with it! But I still don't understand Micro-Guides, I don't see a difference except weight reduction.
  15. I have the Veritas in 7ft H-XF and it is almost stiff enough to flip with. I have it rigged with 20# Stren Magnethin and I use it for C-Rig, T-Rig, but mostly Jigs, pitching docks, grasslines, light weeds you name it! I love it, I would definitely recommend it! I personally do not like the Verdict at all, for some reason Abu went with the same butt cap as the Vendetta that every one hates and the sliding grip feels cheap to me... And white looks better to me
  16. Ok I was looking at the Vike Tungsten Flippin' Weight on ***, is this ok? There are good reviews on them. And I already know I like it, I've done it before.
  17. What's the difference and how does it affect it? Because Bub Tosh recommends the inserts so the tungsten won't cut the line, so is it a personal preference thing?
  18. Ok I need a punch rig, I'm buying 65# Power Pro, Td-Tungsten Weights, Paycheck Punch Stops, Paycheck Hooks, Paycheck punch stops, and Paycheck Punch Skirts. I need to know if I should get insert or insert free weights? And I watched a Bub Tosh video an he said he uses a bobber stop AND the punch stop So will the Punch Stops be enough or do I need bobber stops too? And is Power Pro braid fine? My dad is gonna order all this pretty soon so I kinda need a fast answer if possible.
  19. Thank yours for all your help. I might try it out if I get the money and still want to.
  20. x2 H only for punching you will want something a little softer for basic pitching. X3 I'm buying the H either this week or next week so I will tell you how it feels if I buy one before you do.
