Agreed with above... If the fish are there don't move. Stay shallow until you aren't catching them.

I use 8# & 10# mono for topwater... I have been using Cortland Camoflauge line for years with great success! It is super cheap and very strong and managable. Being it is so cheap I try to change line a few times a year. PS Also a huge fan of KVD Line & Lure!

Always have good luck on 3" power grubs with road runner heads for flash. Adjust color according to clarity.
