To me any quality reel with a smooth drag that can be locked down, high speed, and mounted on a rod that balances is what you want. Mike

I bought an All Star ASR rod there a few years ago. I stopped by a while back traveling through there and at that time they had a rack full of All Stars. Mike

I use vertically divided 3600 Plano boxes for plastics. Each box has 6 sections with one box each for swim baits, sticks and creatures. Others are divided horizontally labeled for jigs, trebled top water, cranks, traps/jerks, frogs. I use one 3700 size box for all terminal tackle. The dang bag must weigh 30 lbs ? Mike

The mouths of both Josephine and Arbuckle Creeks are always good areas especially if the water is running. There is a spawning flat on the right side of Arbuckle and all the way in Josephine for a few hundred yards. Also try the back side and between Bumble Bee and little Bumble Bee island. Good Luck Mike

Yeah we did? We didn't boat anything! Nothing! We got there about 8:30 and left a little after 1:00. There was a steady 20mph wind which really made it hard as my neighbors boat didn't have a trolling motor or power pole. We started at the water control structure at the far NW corner and worked our way out back to the ramp. Then went into the Farm fighting the wind all the way. We threw everything at them. Spinners, cranks, traps, jigs all different shapes and sizes of every plastic I had and still nothing. If we were able to stay in one spot for any length of time maybe it would have been better but with not even a trolling motor it was next to impossible in that wind. There were 3 boats by a drainage pipe on the east side and we just kept motoring around and saw 1 fish caught in 2 hrs. We got close to one and started talking to him. He said he's been there the last 2 days and that was the only fish he caught. Aftet useing a 1/2 tank of fuel we headed back. The water must be extremely high as we only saw 3 stumps in both areas. When got back to the ramp 3 others were packing up also and none of them had a hit either!! I talked to a guide in the parking lot who was practicing for a charter in the morning and he was "disgusted". He didn't get a hit either. His clients wanted to bring thier own gear and throw artificial, but he said he was gonna try to talk them out of it and just use shiners and minnow's. I felt a little better after talking to him. We'll try again next week. Thanks again guys for all the advise. Mike
