Are you using braid? If so I think your hearing the guides when the braid rubs on them..

If you can get it close enough and manageable you can grab the line and lift it to keep the load off the rod.

I bring them to the shore with enough slack to hold the pole towards the bottom and not put a nasty bend on the rod. I will then lip the fish...

I really don't do alot of crank bait fishing since I shore fish alot but I think a DT6 in silver shad is always lethal....

Well, I ended up having some issues and finally got around to getting a rod for this reel Micro recommended I try out the Fenwick HMG... Grabbed a GT 70MH-F 7'0"

Nothing special as alot of guys here The farthest baitcaster from the camera was my first baitcaster I got after I learned on one of my dads when I was 13.... the second was another baitcaster I got as a gift a few years ago because I stopped using baitcasters for some reason.... The curado I just bought..

There are a few guys on here who build rods and have posted pictures of their work and I would feel its much more personal with one of them than with a big company. Plus you can pic ANY blank or guides or anything you want that way....

He is saying at the knot to the lure not the knot to the braid and floro.... I am reading about this hollow braid and wondering how its going to work and if it will with smaller dia. braids.

IIRC, that's cause 30# fireline has a thicker diameter than most other 30# braids. that's cause 30 fireline braid is rounder and superior to other braids.i've used 50 lb in other braids and had them dig.it probably wouldn't dig in 20 lb but i haven't tried it yet. Are you sponsored by Fireline?
