I don't have the exact specifics but I looked at it today waiting on some more info. (year, hours, leaks) its and older Lowe 160 with a 29HP evinrude, The trolling motor only had mecury on it. comes with trailer and everything boat was used earlier this year. 2 grand and they will even let me test it out. sitting in a buddies garage for his uncle. Here are some pics.

Sounds like a very logical decision to me. All you have to do is scan the popular fishing forums and you'll see a ton of questions about $100 rods and reels. With the currecnt state of the economy, I would imagine the $150+ rods/reels just aren't selling like they were a few years ago. Agreed

what Knot are you using? Albright? Alberto? FG? Nevermind I saw uni to uni.... I use albright to connect the two. I use uni to uni for connecting the braid to my backing in the reel. I am trying to become efficient at the FG knot but it really seems like more work than its worth.

I now have Fireline braid on everything but will be starting to use FC leaders for abrasion resistance

Did anybody see the two flies that are on JF's tacklebox in the second picture? It appears J likes Orange Gatorade also.... interesting... Also looks like he smokes Camel lights ( now Camel Blues)

We use Zazzle for a site I run here in STL for drag racing... I take that back we "USED" they want entirely too much for the stuff it was like 25 for a tshirt and 50 for a hoodie.... If someone could maybe get me a logo in line art or something I used to work in a vinyl graphics store and could probably get it hooked up and see if people will actually Buy them...

IMO go to a BPS or Cabela's or somewhere and try them out..... If I use spinning gear alot my baitcasters feels awkard to me at first and I feel like I should be using a left handed reel.

On-call 3-4 weeks a year been on mandatory OT for like 4 weeks straight tho. Single male at home with the parents and the Fed takes nearly half my stuff
