  1. I am so glad others thought this was the best interview as well. I think this one stands head and shoulders above the rest and just really appreciated it. Talk about someone that would be awesome to fish with.
  2. So we started with the plan to go after smallies in the creek but because of all the rain we hit the lake for big mouths. We caught a couple little ones lost two good ones and I broke my rod in half on a giant. All in all a good day just wish I could get the fish that broke my rod
  3. I'm getting back in the creek again to chase smallies tomorrow and I'm stoked. Gonna try some shakey heads and maybe an improvised drop shot rig. We will see what they're hitting
  4. I really enjoyed it. I thought the music was very calming but not boring and you did an awesome job. The only thing I could think of is, is it possible to raise the camera up and maybe angle it down a little that way you can see the bass actually being caught? Awesome though
  5. bweave it is not a saying its what I do for a living
  6. There are 8 species of black bass and one subspecies and the goal is to catch each one and they all have their own minimum length. Its just something fun to do and bassmaster will reconize those who accomplish the feat
  7. Dude that CO slam sounds like a blast. I should be able to get it done texas is the hardest part for me since I'm close to most of fish and have family throughout FL. We will see though
  8. Has anyone else seen this from bassmaster. I for sure am going to try it just not all in one year. Plus they just added the alabama spot so now there are more bass to catch. I liken it to the turkey hunting slam which is something else I would like to accomplish.
  9. awesome job i can't wait to see what you bring next
  10. Today I went to a pond that has probablly fallen a foot in just 2 days. Does this have a major affect on the bass not biting. I nboticed this on a creek last year as well just looking for some help. Also what lures would work best.
  11. If I am creek fishing and find a golfball I always get hit within 5 casts so I pretty much carry a golf ball with me everytime and I always pick them up. On the bananas I had one on the boat the other day and my buddy kept hookin fish but they would shake loose when they got close to the boat. I ate the banana threw the peel over board and then caught 3 that were each 3 1/e
  12. I agree just going is what I enjoy the most. The sound of the water and birds. Also just knowing I might catch something makes it all a success
  13. It seems like the more I do this the better it gets. Every sunday after work I have a couple of hours before I have to go back and feed the elephants again, so I go fish. I was fishing this section of creek for about the 3rd time and caught a LM that was the biggest fish I have caught in that creek. So as I am casting around I notice a bunch of movement in the water and it is headed my direction, and I'm getting excited. Well it turns out it was a family of 5 otters and they swam within 5 feet of me, totally awesome. So a little later the water starts moving and heading towards me and its abeaver this time that passes within 2 feet of me. I think it can't get any better and the next day I go out on my buddys boat and we see 2 juvenile osprey hanging out on a log by the shore. Not to mention I caught 3 LM on a senko that each weighed around 3 1/2 pounds. To wrap up the awesomeness my wife(whose pregnant) keeps insisting we go fish the river so we do at least once a week. Life is good
  14. Mman great suggestion and consider it done
  15. I did take technique into consideration as well. My friend and I both fish about the same style. Also we are extremely competitive wich I thought would help because its about beating each other and not having a preference towards a bait. I appreciate all the comments because it can only make this better
  16. That's why they are being fished head to head so all the variables are the same for each individual battle. Granted it doesn't prove 100% wich bait is the ultimate best under every condition but it is as close to equal as I can make it
  17. No each lure will get 2 hours of fishing time per brackett to see which will catch more fish. So each battle lasts 2 hours and then the winner moves on and is fished again for 2 hours and this happens untill there is only one. Also I am gauging the response to this because next year I would like to expand it and include some other categories of soft plastics and have a #1 soft plastic champ. It's just something fun and tests a little brand loyalty
  18. Sorry forgot to add the fishing will begin in August and we will be wading creeks in middle TN for smallmouth, spots, and largemouth
  19. So here is the deal. I bought 16 different manufacturers soft plastic crawfish baits and a buddy and myself will battle them head to head on the creek until a winner emerges. Each battle will last 2 hours and all baits are as close to green pumpkin as possible. If you want fill out a sheet of which bait you think will rein supreme and pm it to me or post it. The winner will not recive anything but be reconized as being pretty awesome. SO game on. Also if you have any questions feel free to ask

  21. It was a bass pro shops combo for 50 I didn't want to spend much since I didn't know what I was doin and still barely do
  22. yeah thanks. I do throw worms and senkos(just recently) plus some other soft plastics, but crawfish produce the most for me. I appreciate the input because it just confirms to me to keep chunking new and different things at them
  23. I generally wade creeks for smallies here in TN and am about to do so this afternoon. I generally use zoom ultravibe speed craws and tubes. Do any of you have any other suggestions
  24. I throw alot more soft plastics than hard ones. On a boat i start with crankbaits and then switch if it doesn't work
