I fish with my daughters (5 and 8). Only advice I can give is they can get bored quick if they ain't bittin'. I just bought a Bass Hunter (small boat, fits in the back of the truck) this afternoon just for fishin with the girls. We have 5 or so small ponds with 10min of the house that we can fish. Beats the heck out of driving 1.5 hours to the big lake and them get bored after an hour. I completey agree with the comment above about put your rod down. I spend so much time laughing and helping them I don't even try to fish. They fish for panfish with crickets on bobbers, and everytime the youngest one's bobber disappears, the sets the hook like she's seen me do and tells me "Dad, this ones a TOAD". Priceless.

I dig the magazine, but I do hate the stuff they send you without asking. You know the, "If you like it, keep it and we'll bill you and send more" stuff. Kind of a pain to ship the stuff back. If I want it, I'll ask for it.

I'd do it. Like mentioned above, install a trans cooler (and temp quage if your paranoid like me). I pull my 17 F&S with a I6 Trailblazer....no worries

I have a Sprint 277FS. I bought a fish and ski because of my kids, and have no regrets EXCEPT storage is limited and the windshield gets in the way/acts like a sail on windy days. I have been thinking about converting to two small "windlets" on each console (if you look at the pick below, you can kind of visualize what I mean.) Anyone know of a good place to find a "windlet" to fit? Thanks!!

I have a 17.5 fiberglass sprint with a 115 Merc. Never moves without one. Is it absoultly necessary? I rather never find out.

Junk is a term I use for just about everything. Actually, I really dig this boat. When I take my daughters out, I leave my stuff at home and have a blast watching them catch brim and bluegill on crickets all day.

I have a 17' Sprint FS. The extra seats are a necessity for family outings as I have two girls (5 and 8 ) who love to fish. It does double duty nicely, but neither one as well as a single duty boat.
