really? oh wow I haven't fished there since I moved to Bristow, and I never had property management ask me anything, I see kids fishing there all the time. theres a man made pond next to lifetime fitness that I seen people fish during the weekends.

getting my kayak this Friday, crazy two years ago only used worms and simple rod and reel, and now fishing has taken over my garage.. centreville has some good spots, you guys should try lakeside next to the cinemas

I have fishing my local ponds here with my little brother and having a blast doing so. mainly been using red eye shads here in these ponds because apparently there are shad ? in the pic below

lately I have been having a hard time catching bass. Maybe due to the cold weather/ fishing too late/. Last year I would use a chatter bait this time of the year and catch them but it has been little to no success. I know the bluegill are there because if I switch to small crank bait I will catch them. I usually go fishing around 5-6, do you think the temps are cold around that time making them shut down? any advice

I went yesterday to investigate. The river is huge and deep but boy was it muddy due to the rain this week. how do you guys fish a river that has a fast current running threw it? Or should I find a calm point of the river.

I fish in the Gainesville/Haymarket areas too. And yes there out there.. Lake brittle is good spot too. Chantilly is a hit or miss for me. out of all the spots I found in Chantilly, I found only one.

just a little update of my bass fishing so far in northern Virginia. Thanks to this site I'm learning something new each day. So far I have caught bass on my crank-bait,lip-less,chatter bait,plastics. The only type of technique i haven't caught bass on is top-water frogs ( ) and jigs. plus these ponds have so many weeds and lily's pad it is so hard to fish in it.

I been going to my local ponds the past 2 weeks and have been producing everyday expect the days after a rain storm. yesterday I caught 10 bass with a jerk bait and red eye shad. they haven't hit any plastics for me though, could be because of the wind. they seem to attack a wounded fish rather than a fast moving target. All the fish I caught seem to hit on the fall or the sudden stop after jerking the lure or the fall of the red eye shad. today its going to be high 75-77 so im predicting a good day today

wow that creek looks amazing... I went out yesterday and got skunked but its going to be sunny this whole week so that should melt the ice off my favorite ponds :D
