  4. Good eye. Still looking for heavier, but that seems the heaviest option so far. Although, I think I would opt for the Loomis escape at 2 oz, just because the length of 6'9'' would help with the topwater more than the 1/4 oz lure rating would. Thanks for all the help guys......I have been looking for a good bit and haven't found what I am looking for, and that is why I turned to y'all for the help! keep em coming if you find one! Jeff
  5. I have multiple rods that have weight ranges up to 1.5 oz already. Just need something heavier! Needs to be 3 piece because airline restrictions are 33 linear inches. That is exactly how long my tube is. So if it were 2 piece, the max length would be 5'6" and I think that is too short. Jeff
  6. This rod is for Peacock in the amazon. I will check into World Shaula. And the Phenix. Thank guys. If you find anything else guys, let me know. Jeff
  7. I have found some 2 piece. But they are too long to take as a carry-on, and I will never check another rod with an airline. The heaviest weight rating 3 piece rod I have found so far is the Lomis escape H and the St Croix tidemaster H which are rated to 2 oz. The Escape is the right length at 6'9'' but the tidemaster is 7'6''. Those are the 2 best options for USDM rods, so I was hoping to find something JDM. Jeff
  8. ok JDM afficianados.....anyone know of a 3 piece JDM travel rod? I am looking for a travel rod 7' or less with a weight range that goes up to 3 oz or so! Jeff
  9. No. Not enough line capcity and too fast of a gearing. Jeff

  14. This is actually a buddy of mine. There are a lot of skeptics out there but I tell you this guy is honest. He currently holds the world length record for brown trout as well. His name is Eric Haataja. I am going up to fish brown trout with him in 2 weeks! Jeff
  15. That I do not know, but I like my 50! If I find a great deal, you can bet I will buy up another! Jeff

  18. All Core models have been discontinued. Per Shimano rep Yesterday: The Core models are discontinued. We will maintain parts for 5-7 years, but that may increase now. We have been working on some things with Japan to maintain parts for longer periods. Jeff
