This is a pond I fish on occasion. I have been told that there are some nice size LM in here but all I have ever seen and caught were average size SM. I have used with success Senko's and Mepps in line spinners and spoons. I tried yesterday with no luck the following: Buzzbait and Zoom Ol Monster 10 inch worm. There is no visible structure to this pond other than a pump which I have caught a couple of smallies near. There is heavy under water vegitation at one end also. With the limited info I have given what would you use? Oh Yeah, water tends to be slightly stained

Costco pizza is not bad but I am starting to get tired of it. Cant stand frozen pizza.

I have had a lot of success with my Mepps Aglia #3 red/white. I rarely go home skunked using this but the fish tend to be on the small size. I will be experimenting with a #4 silver this afternoon. I agree about it being thought of as a beginner lure. I sometimes feel like in order to be a "true fisherman" I need to move up to the "big boy lures" :crying-baby-1:but I keep catching fish with them. Hey jigfishn10 what kind of spinner is that? Its friday night and that means its pizza night at our house. Having Poppa Johns tonight which is not my favorite. Its ok but I would rather have Uno's or Pizza Hut. I love Canadian Bacon and Pinnaple So, who do you like the best and what type of pizza?

Thanks, I asked because I am shore bound and want to go as light as possible in regard to equipment. I hate having to carry a spinning rod for inline spinners and such. I would love to get away with 1 rod and reel and 1 rod and reel only but looks like that is not going to happen:(

Hey guys, need some help. I am trying to fish with my baitcaster almost exclusivley but finding I am haveing a hard time not getting backlashes. Is there a time when you will bag the baitcaster and stay with a spinning reel? I do not want to do this but maybe I will have too. What do you guys think?

I want to start out by saying I love this websight. You guys are amazing with your "knowledge of all things Bass." I cannot tell you how much I have learned in the last year. Wish I had more time to put that knowledge to use, hopefully in the near future. I have a BPS Pro Qualifier on a BPS TOURNEY Rod that I do not really like . I do not like the POWER HUMP handle. Love the PRO QUALIFIER. Looked at a Veritas at Dicks the other day and I could not believe how light it was. I need to explain better what I am after. I have a spinning rod and real that I am happy with but I really want to start using my PRO QUALIFIER more. So when I say "ONE ROD" I am talking about for the baitcaster. I cannot afford a rod for all the different types of baits so I was looking for "one" that would handle everything.

Hey guy's, question for you. In the next couple of weeks I will be looking to buy a new rod. This rod will be my "do everything rod" from spinner baits to plastics. I do not fish enough to know what the differences are in rods as far as the different baits you can use. I only have about $100 to $125 to spend on this. Do not tell to wait until I have more money because I won't have it . So, with this said what rod would you buy?

Same here. Stuck on shore but I swear the birds start cacklin when I show up which alerts the fish that Im there. The birds in turn call out signals of what bait and color I am throwing. With that info the fish don't bother with me but the guys down bank seem to do just fine. IT"S A CONSPIRACY I TELL YA!!

I have a 14 yr old who is starting High School next week and she insists that she should have a cell phone. We have had this discussion for 2 years. I have always said that a 12 -13-14 -15 year old does not need a cell phone. Now I can see where a kid with only one parent around or a kid whose parents both work alot should have one, but that is not the case with my daughter. My wife or I are always around and if we are not it is only for an hour or 2. Now I know what you are going to say"anything can happen in that time period" that may be true but there are plenty of people she hangs with who have phones. By the way, I hear that all the time " but all my friends have one" and my response is "if all your friends have a big butt would you want one too? So, we are having this conversation again last night but this time my wife and I were ready. When she brought up the issue of a phone again we responded that :yes, we agree you should have a phone. But, here are the conditions: She must carry a B average for the 1st quarter. Anything less, she gets nothing. All the minutes must be paid by her and her alone. I will shell out the initial cost of a new phone, but, it will be a PHONE NOT A MINI COMPUTER. If she wants a Smart Phone she will have to be Smart enough how to figure out how to pay for it. So, how have you guys handled the issue of phones for your teenagers?

Ok I'm back.......not as bad as I thought it would be. We have two girls, one starting Middle school and the other starting High school. The wife wanted to talk about how we were going to handle grades, activities after school and dating. As far as the dating goes that's easy.Every boy who ever comes to the house will be introduced to a baseball bat that I had inscribed with the words "PROTECT HER" I will give them the speech about how they are to treat my daughter while she is with him and what I expect yada yada yada. Afterword I will show him the PROTECT HER and explain that while she is with him it is his job to take care of her and protect her, and if he does not he is going to get a very up close and personal look at the PROTECT HER. If he touches her in an in appropriate manner he is going to get introduced to the PROTECT HER, If he treats her disrespectfully he will be introduced to the PROTECT HER , if he neglects her he will be introduced to the PROTECT HER. By the way.... did I mention that he is going to get introduced to the PROTECT HER anyway? To end the conversation I will explain to the spry young lad that if anything happens to my daughter I will have NO PROBLEM GOING BACK TO PRISON Oh yea, my wife also asked that I pitch in around the house more. I think I can handle that. What"s the saying: HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY HOUSE

Boy do I know how you feel.I have a boss who is so self absorbed it's disgusting. He runs a sales division in the company I work for. I am his sales support guy, I write up 90% of his orders and take 100% of the blame when things go bad but.01% of the praise when things go right. He gets paid by salary and commission and bonuses based on preformance and it is up to me to make sure his customers stay happy. You think the guy would say thank you once in awhile but NNNNNNNNOOOOOO! And to top things off he is an _ss_whole, but I have a job so I guess I should not complain.

i have a BP 10 minutes from my house and a Dicks 5 Minutes away. The customer service at Bass Pro is OUTSTANDING! Never had an issue with returns, always very polite and prompt. Also, the guys at the fishing counter really know their stuff and will go out of their way to help. (shout out to Ron) I will say, I think on alot of items Dicks is cheaper. From terminal tackle to Senkos. ( Bass Pro 5" Senko $8.29 Dicks, $6.99) The selection at Dicks though is no where near that of BP. And most of the staff is clueless about fishing. Wish we had a little ma and pa tackle shop to go to.
