I have not tried wading out beyond shore yet. I have tried different lures in the past, BPS worms dark colors, POP R chartreuse, Rapala original and Mepps Aglia. Had the only strike and catch with the Mepps. I think my main problem is I'm still new to this and don't know what to use or when. oh yeah, I have tried spinner and buzzbait to no avail. Again not sure when to use or where.

I got Skunked again. Not even a nibble . I tried the tips RW posted some time back about using Senko's with absolutely no luck at all. Fished for 3 hours and nothing. I thought I was fishing slow but I guess not. Its frustrating having only 1 day to go fishing and to continue to get nothing. I went fishing at a lake that has a tremendous amount of vegetation and did it from shore as i do not have a boat. Very frustrating, but I ain't quitting you!!

Welcome!! I am a beginner for the most part also. What part of Md are you from and where do you fish? I live in Howard county and fish mostly lakes in and around Columbia. i have tried a bunch of different lures with no success. going out wed morning and I am going to fish nothing but Senko's until I get the hang of it. I also fish an Ugly stick.Med /heavy fast action

I just started back after 25 years. Fished very little as a kid. Never caught a freshwater fish until 3 weeks ago. Caught a baby Hammerhead and a Yellow Jack from the Causeway on Sanibel Island Fla. Back in 1980. Hope to do alot of fishing in the future. absolutely love it! it is something my kids and I can do together.

Hi my name is Gregg and I am new to this awesome sport. I have a question about fishing from shore as I do not have access to a boat. I fish mostly lakes around Columbia md and so far have not caught a thing. I have used worms, spinner baits and topwater. Can anyone give me some advise?
