Hey BASSclary If you do , do one on fishing a worm. When you type that into Youtube all you get are guys catching fish or guys showing you how to rig a worm but not "HOW TO FISH THE WORM" >

I was checking out the Bass videos in the forum home section and noticed that there is not a whole lot of "how to"s" :'(Being relatively new to this I enjoy reading the articles (I think I have read them all, some multiple times) but would love to see more videos. I think it would be great to see guys like RoadWarrior, Glenn, and some of the other more experienced moderators and even some of the more seasoned anglers show the rest of us their techniques,like how to fish a worm, or retrieving cranks, and thing like that. I am sure I am not the only "visual "learner out there. Is this possible? Just a thought

Please help, I think something is wrong with me! Ever since I started fishing 3 months ago I can't stop looking at fishing catalogs, staring at different bodies of water wondering what might be in there, and buying lures with no idea on how to use them properly. BPS and DSG are having sales and I'm buying just because it's a sale.I have 5 different bags of worms and and 3 other bags of soft plastics.I even take a worm or two to work with me I go to bed at nite and wake up in the morning thinking about the next time I can go out. What's illogical is that to date I have only caught 3 fish, all dinks! My wife and kids think I obsessed! ( i don't know why, maybe it's because of all the time I spend on BR blogs) Is there help for me or is it terminal? Tell the truth I can take it

I just bought some Zoom Ultra Vibe and Ol'Monster worms. Also bought a Johnson Silver Minnow. Has anybody had any experience with these? I guess I should have asked this before I bought them.

I have been fishing Spinning reel and would like to upgrade to a Bait Cast reel. Can I get some advice on the best Baitcaster to get under $100?

How do you rig and fish a Space Monkey Thanks for any help

I went out this evening after work around 7:30 to a small pond I have fished before. I don't think there are any lunkers in it but I know there are fish. Anyway I started out using a Mepps Black Fury with no luck, switched to a Pop R seeing that the water was really calm. Nothing going on there either. I was about to switch to something else when I noticed that there were fish jumping around a very small fountain or filter, whatever, so I figured "if the fish are there, then that's where I should be." So I t-rigged a Blk/blueflake Senko and threw it right next to the filter/fountain, I was fully prepared to fish it ssssllllloooooowwww when no sooner did it hit the bottom that my line started moving . I gave it a second then set the hook and finally caught a SMB. Definitely a "dink" but it was a fish all the same. Starting to understand a little more on how to do this. Baby steps, Baby steps!

Hey Flippin and Pitching, I fish a lake that has a tremendous amount of vegetation, (don't know what kind) deepest part is 10 feet, one end has riprap. Water tends to be slightly stained. I don't have a thermometer but I would guess water temp to be in the upper 80's to 90.Not sure about dropoffs or structure, Still too new at this. Also, question for everybody, how do you fish a Jig? I have a few with blades on them. :-? I hope this gives more info.

I like the beer part ;D. I have a few jigs but do not know how to use.

Ok, my budget this month for lures is 10 bucks. I have 2 colors of Senkos, I have 2 inline spinner baits, 3 different kinds of worms, 1 buzzbait, 1 topwater, 1 rapala minnow. What would you guys suggest I get? Keep in mind I only shore fish.

Hey Farmpond1 and RoadWarrior, thanks for the encouragement. I usually get out by 6:30-7. I have tried all the other baits to no avail. One thing I am learning is patience I'm still so new at this, I know I am making some fatal errors as far as technique and location. Even after reading everything I can and listening to advice from others especially RoadWarrior, (thank you for your post) I am still unsure of myself in regards to knowing where the fish are. I really do love going out and matching witts with the fish but so far I am on the short end of the stick. Oh well, there is always another day P.S. Is there anything to fishing by the Astro table?

I got skunked again!! This is getting old fast. Went out again this morning and not even a sniff! I REALLY SUCK AT THIS! :'( I tried fishing BPS Tournament series 7" ribbon tail worm black neon/chartr tail. I did not use anything else because I stink at plastic worms and want to get better. I AM REALLY GETTING DISCOURAGED :-[ I have 1 day a week to fish and that is only in the morning, from shore(no boat). I have veerryy limited funds to purchase lures and could use some advice. OK, I made a little progress tonight. I went out to a small pond at 5pm and fished for an hour. I used watermelon/blk/red Senko and got 2 quality hits. Did not catch anything but at least I got a hit. The pond has a filter of some sort and the fish were all around it. You could see them jumping around it so after awhile I switched to a top water lure. No luck. Did I do the right thing or should I have stayed with the Senko. My reasoning for switching was that I figured if they were up top that that is were I should make my presentation. Not sure I made the right choice. I totally suck at this

Thank you guys for responding I really appreciate it. I am not sure how to describe the vegetation. I know Im going to get this wrong but I think it is called Naide? The lake was overrun with Hydrella? but that was taken care of. The water for the most part is clear to slightly stained. The color senko I have been using is watermelon/blk/red. I took my daughter out to the same lake in June and she caught 2 SMB on live worms. There is a sign posted saying that there is an abundance of SMB with no daily limit. I have been fishing off riprap, dock by boat launch, and under cover of trees. I have not fished a frog because I don,t have one yet. Budget is tight and fishing lures not on the "need list" but I do intend to buy some soon. I was fishing there a couple of weeks ago and there was a guy fishing plastic worms and caught 2 Smallies in about 10 min. He was no more than 10 yards away from where i was at. There was no structure that I could see. :-/
