  3. Hey birddog sorry I didnt see this earlier. There are no seasons you can fish year round. You have to buy a trout stamp if your planning on fishin for them but thats about it. "Definition of Resident A person who has been a domiciled resident continuously in West Virginia for 30 consecutive days or more immediately prior to the date of application for a license or permit. This includes members of the U.S. armed forces stationed outside the state who were West Viginia residents at the time of entry into the service and any full-time student of a college or university of this state." -WVDNR 2010 Fishing regulation manual I guess that doesn't really help you but... Heres a link to a pdf of the full 2010 fishing regulation manual. http://wvdnr.gov/Fishing/Regs10/fishRegs2010%20final.pdf
  4. It was actually pretty clear but I was fishin in probably about 5-10 foot of water. I get more hits on junebug than any other color Ive tried. Which colors do you usually use? And for what conditions?

  9. So I was just thinking about my last fishing trip and me and my brother decided to try cat fishing so we were just sitting there with our lines in the water and there was this guy probably about 500 ft away fishing off the dock. He'd been there most of the day and hadn't caught anything and then I saw him pull out a dink that probably weighed a pound or less and it fell off his hook while he was pulling it up out the water. Never thought anything of it but a little while later this other guy shows up and asks him if they're hitting. Dock fisher responds, "Yea! I had a nice one a min ago but I lost him when I was pullin him out the water!" Second fisherman counters "OHHHH! I was fishing here the other day and I had a nice one! but he took my jitterbug and all! Wish I coulda got that one!" This is comical to me because the first guys fish was tiny. And a day or two before I found a jitterbug snagged in a tree lol. Me and my brother had a good laugh.

  17. So last friday I was heading home from school which is about a two hr drive and decided I really wanted to go fishin. So I stopped by the house grabbed my gear and headed to the lake. Got there around 5pm. It was pretty hot and really sunny. Threw in a 5" GYB senko and got a big strike. That fish jumped a foot out the water 2 or 3 times then I had to fight him out of some lilly pads. EXHILARATING!! I didn't get measurements but he's the biggest Ive caught. I caught him on six lb test too he broke the line when i was trying to get the hook out lol.
  18. I bought a pack of the tubes a few days ago (as shown above). Haven't had a chance to try them out though. Maybe next weekend. Hope I have some luck with them toooo.
  19. Omg dude you wont believe this but I was watching that show the other night and actually googled it too cus the one he caught looked EXACTLY like a bass.
