  1. Sorry Bobby, had to find your spot somehow....
  2. At ice out, I run a buzzbait off the ice pack, and bass love to attack it when it comes off the ice, right at the edge of the water...No, its never to cold.
  3. Well, how'd it go?
  4. These things are crazy in the water. the blow-out effect of the back blade creates a knuckle ball effect, and makes the baits dart erratic, not only to the side but up and down. I have the waddle bats, and they work, so this thing should too. I still catch as much on a Strike king 1.5, so it isn't a game-changer, but it is impressive in the water...
  5. Looks like it used to be chartreause on the bottom....
  6. Kermit
  7. There is a reaction strike. They made be in recovery mode, and not active, but on that 10th cast; if you hit that Cyprus knee just right with that square bill, and they see an easy, stunned meal, they will eat it....
  8. I like the UV beaver baits, but I've noticed I catch bigger fish with other Companies beaver baits. They work, but have dropped in my use, as I just catch better fish with other products. It may be that the juvenile bass see em better, but just something that I've noticed in my area...
  9. zman did have some hook issues, when they went with a cheap hook, when demand was crazy. I had heard that they have fixed it, with a Mustad. New ones should be good. Don't use em much myself, but that's just a story I heard...maybe its true, with all the stuff I've heard about their hooks...I've got a few Pirhana's I need to try...

Yeah, if you can't get those things to throw a mile, its your reel/line/rod...I've heard people use rattles, but I would never put anything that wouldn't let it collapse right...
  11. Dang, thats exactly what I was going to say...
  12. If you used elastatech in JJ's, well, thats pretty funny...Not laughing at you, but remembring when I did it.
  13. Thats how we do it. Fun!!
  14. After Ice out. One of my best topwater days came when I'd drag a buzz bait off the ice, and the break was where they would crush it. They will hit top, year round, but May has been the usual start of the topwater season, here...
