  3. Geez dont jump on me fellow anglers! Should of been more specific. Heres the scoop. I fish Ames Nowell(Abington) a lot because I am convinced the biggest large+pickerel are in that pond. So I landed this monster there. To be honest it probaby wasent 9 and change since the scale i was using was from 1940 and was rusted to perfection. But never the less it was atleast 6+. ( i got carried away because i wanted to make a post with links but i needed 10 so i was just making the rounds....everyone relax.) BUT. I have a video of the catch, here is the link! enjoy:
  4. To be honest if you are going to drop 100 on a reel, drop 130 and get the Johnny Morris gold. I just picked mine up after getting the JM Signature series for Christmas, I headed down to my local Bass Pro and exchanged it for a JM Gold and GOT MONEY BACK because at the time it was bought it was more than the current price of the JM Gold and the comparison is no question, the gold takes the cake over the signature series 8-)
  5. Yea a buddy of mine just got the carbonlite and said it feels amazing (though has yet to use it because of blizzard conditions) So I was leaning towards that one anyway, i also read that for the price of the Carbonlite you cant go wrong. I'm heading to Foxboro this week sometime so I will test out the rods, just thought i would get some tips before heading there. Thank you!
  6. Hi all, this is my first post on these forums. I am looking to get a Johnny Morris Goldhttp://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_104089_100001001_100000000_100001000?cmCat=CROSSSELL_HOMEPAGE. I am looking to get a Rod for this reel, and im not sure what i am looking for. I know that i want something not to heavy duty, i want to be able to have a lot of flexability in the rod, meaning i want to be able to feel every whip of the crank bait. The problem with the big rods i feel, is you cant really feel whats going on in the water. my price range would be up to $150 for a rod. Here are some rods i am looking at. Any feedback/suggestions would be great. http://www.basspro.com/Abu-Garcia-Veritas-Casting-Rods/product/10219171/-1741240 http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-CarbonLite-Trigger-Rods/product/10205012/-1751643 http://www.basspro.com/Element-21-Carrot-Stix-Micro-Guide-Trigger-Rods/product/10213372/-1749715 http://www.basspro.com/Element-21-Carrot-Stix-Wild-Micro-Trigger-Rods/product/10209423/-1749726 P.S. What do you guys think of the SPRO BBZ-1? I am looking to get one but am not sure of what color would be good for my area, (MA- Northeast- Pond/lake fishing have had luck with Shad color baits) What do you guys think about this swim bait?
