Welcome A buddy of mine went to stay with relatives in jersey for about 3 months during the summer. He said he fished at 3 different spots and every fish he reeled in was deformed or had tumors. :-/

the walmart in my area has a bunch of great stuff. The bad part i guess you could say is that its so easy to steal from their fishing area that LITERALLY guys will just waltz in load up a tacklebox or their cargo pants and stroll out. No one says a thing no one knows a thing. To the point where its just awkward when a bunch of anglers come in who dont even know each other but just chat fishing while stuffing their pants. its absolute crazyness.

I am also planning on using Jigs for the first time this season. I inherited some jigs but where I fish its so weedy i never even considered using them.... Then i realize im a moron and there are countless ways to use trailers to make them weedless. :

yeah those are spot on. dead accurate. mine fell out of my tacklebox while jogging to a spot in the rain and didnt find it till a few days later ...s till workin Walmart doesn't carry it anymore I don't think. :'(

To be honest: Advance Auto Parts. Me and my father were going to get a new Marine battery for our 18 ft Four Winds, after asked the kid behind the counter to grab the cheapest marine they had and walked back with an Optima Blue-top...we were perplexed. Turns out that Advanced policy on batteries is that as soon as its connected to the vehicle...its considered used. So the gentleman who bought this realized the boat he was buying already came with a battery he returned it. But it was marked used. We got it for $80 :-O Insane deal.

So I was looking at the new BP XPS Stalker tackle backpack and decided that the blue and orange colors make my eyes bleed. But then i noticed the colors from the old one, ash gray and red (hot) So i was thinking, how would one go about changing the color of the new XPS stalker? Spray Paint? Cover it with patches? I mean I'de love to have it its just ...man its ugly.

For anyone who lives in the Northeast i'm sure you are more than aware of the silly amount of snow we have been getting. This being said, the lakes and ponds have a lot of snow on top of them, making it difficulty to judge how the ice conditions are. I went out yesterday and stood on the edge of a local pond that was covered in snow, but could not really tell if it was safe to make a hole? Are there any tips or ways to tell other than to just start drilling and see what happens? What kind of conditions do you look for when seeing if ice is safe?

I picked up some 10lb Flouro Leader aswell. Hope that works out alright, since i've never used a flouro leader before im sure ill screw it up and lose some lures :-/

Just picked this up at BassPro on Sunday. Curious too see how effective it is and if anyone has had any experience with it.
