  1. Even with the ban. I will never stop using lead. Come arrest me DCR.
  2. I'm on spring break as well. But working 9-5 every day. I know that emoticon doesn't apply but i find it fascinating...
  3. I'm confused...you put the grub around the snap?
  4. My goal is to listen to more Charlie Sheen to give myself an edge while I fish. It helps to keep away the trolls.
  5. We have white bass in a pond here as well. I like to keep it similar to crappie fishing but with slight variations. I like small swim-baits (spro BBZ-1 SMALL- SHAD) and run them along the top/ slow sink 1-2 feet. I also like soft plastics, like grubs. I also have quite a bit of luck with grasshopper cranks. Rapala is the kind i use and it works pretty well.
  6. Awesome story. Fantastic Fish. Excellent.
  7. Its my post winter tradition to collect all the lures i lost to the various trees around these dinky ponds i fish. So far I have got back 3 out of the 4 i lost this year. The snow always breaks or bends the branches so its easy to get. Put on some new trebles and im good to go
  8. theres been like 3 threads discussing this.
  9. Why not just virtualize it using Parallels and VMware Fusion?
  10. Ha, I can picture it now. Everyone smoking pipes and wearing monocles, sipping on fine wines reading many leather bound books. Discussing how the fishing went in British accents "Mmm I do say this is quite the fine fishery we have here" "Mmm Yes indeed" "Mmm rather" "Mmm..." "Mmm..." Hell, I might have to go this is actually sounding like a hoot! ;D
  11. Wine and cheese? I thought this was a fishing event? Title should read "Miller High Life and Hot Dogs"
  12. get sunfish then try out your swimbaits in the the tank and see what attacks it.
  13. After looking at my boat a little more and seeing how its a bit to narrow for my liking, I have been looking around for PFDs so I dont die. Do you have any recommendations on something cheap(ish) that does not get in the way of fishing and perhaps has some nice pockets? Perhaps one that you use and like? Let me know thanks!
  14. This is kinda lame, but check this out http://hatcams.com/ Also, the kodak playsport bundle is the sweetest around for recording on a boat, mainly because of its bendable mount. check it out, maybe you can just buy the mount since the screw underneath is an industry standard. http://www.basspro.com/Kodak-PLAYSPORT-Video-Camera-Bundle/product/10220242/-1739893
  15. My fathers store just went out of business (Ultimate Electronics) and they brought in the liquidators. And on the last day the liquidator stood on the counter and said to the people who were in the store "The first person who hands me $200 cash gets the rest of the store" there was probably $6000 worth of merchandise. :o
  16. those things cost as much as i just paid for my new boat. insane
  17. I was definitely considering Saturday, seems like Sundays for most people are a pain to get off (me including)
  18. Everything is up for suggestion, maybe we can find something more in the mid range of north-east MA and south-east MA?
  19. Make sure you download "app killer" from the market to save battery life. Also make sure you "cycle" the battery. That means, charge it to 100%, then it drain to 10, rise and repeat. That makes the LiON battery get used to its charge and then it will hold a charge longer.
  20. That's when you grab his skateboard out of his hand, and smash it in front of him. Game.Set.Match. You.
  21. Well fellow MA people, the time has come. The weather is getting warmer, the ice on ponds and lakes slowly creeps away, and bass fishing is almost upon us. I made a post a few threads down alluding to the idea of having a get together to celebrate the ice and cold weather getting the hell out of our state. I got a few PM's with interest so decided to pull the trigger and start to coordinate it. The idea for this is to have just a get together of anyone who can make it from BR (as well as bringing your buddies who may fish but dont post here, family, etc) to a local pond/lake to grab some fish, drink some brews, share stories etc. A friendly outing where we can try and grab our new PB's of '11. The pond that I had in mind was Monponsett. It is divided into 2 main big sections. East and West, with boat ramps on either side, both with great fishing. Here is a map and description(.PDF file) : http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dfw/habitat/maps/ponds/pdf/dfwmonpo.pdf So, now here comes the question of when. I am completely open for whenever, i was thinking the week before the BR Road trip, or the week after. But open to suggestions. Also, I do not want to discourage non-boaters who are interested. I have 1 seat on my boat, and perhaps others who have boats may have open seats as well, and this thread we can discuss it. Also, I have a 12 foot aluminum Jon boat that a few guys can fit in that it not my primary boat but can hold 3 guys if they want to use it. Having said all that, use this thread to discuss/suggest/plan if anyone is interested. If it turns out to be me and Rhino out there and him showing me up in his Nitro doing doughnuts around me, that's fine by me, but would like to see if anyone in the MA area would like to go.
  22. Hey at least this could spawn a new "The Replacements" movie, this time it will be based on a true story! Sweet!!!
  23. Hum, I remember there was a small company that made these friggin awesome boat shoes. They were "water shoes" meaning they could get wet, swim, etc, but they were wicked comfortable made for fishing....i cant seem to find them around the net tho :-?
