A bunch of kids (yes kids) with mediocre talent playing football? Why would I want to watch that as opposed to the NFL? It's just not as entertaining..period. I have watched games side by side and its a borefest. Hand off...hand off...pitch...reverse...reverse...OMG THEY THREW THE BALL!! oh wait it wasn't even close to the receiver. ( and yes i know everyone is going to jump on me with the whole "thats not even what its like you dont even watch it " blah blah blah..but that's what I see when I watch it.) I get the idea of the whole rivalry thing and that's cool, the bowl games get hyped and that is awesome i guess...but there are colleges who have stadiums that are as large or LARGER than NFL teams..and its college for gods sake! colleges from the south amaze me.

the question is...where do you fish? Like...primarily

Seriously, No offense to the OP at all, but I hate discussions like this. No one can know the answer. No one. You can make studies for decades (which you shouldn't do anyway because it's a huge waste of money) and still never know the answer because its impossible to know. The thing that I like to think about fishing is, no matter how many forum posts their are, how much gear you have, knowledge of fisheries and the fish themselves....we still don't know what the hell we are doing. That's what makes fishing great.

My stupid hipster friend who goes to RISD has been wearing the same jeans forever. He claims they go through stages of smell. They get really bad, then he claims the bacteria from the smell eats it or something and then they are clean again, so he never has to wash them. Hipsters... oh also, I had this friend who wore the SAME camo shorts everyday in highschool..idk he had some complex or something. And we took bets on who thought he washed them. So one day I took a WASHABLE crayola black marker, and marked a line on the side of them. it was there for 3 weeks. and the day that it was gone it was raining and he walked to school so the rumor is that it was the rain water and not the washing machine

I think the morale here is that we are all adults, and using words like that ( no one ever cusses here anyway so removing the filter completely would make a negligible difference , IMHO) in the correct context should be allowed.

I have read SO many reviews on the Playsport bundle being awesome for what the OP was saying, if you dont remember let me remind you The play sport literally does everything he is asking for and more. The tripod is amazing for positioning the camera in unusual spots ( since most boats dont have a "camera" spot), it records in FULL HD and takes good pics with 5 MP if i remember correctly. Oh, and its waterproof for 10 feet and comes with awesome accessories ( like a remote for when you set up the tripod and hold your fish you dont need someone with you to take a pic). as well as other accessories. In my honest opinions this is the best priced, more most practical thing the OP was looking for. Perfection. Fish Chris, Now, granted your knowledge and lengthy (tldr) post about cameras was very thorough...i really did not see it applying to this situation. I cant imagine an average person spending $400 ish on a fancy camera and a waterproof case..and special case to house it...its crazy nor give two hoots about DSLR or saying "umm yess great photo but the top right quadrant of the photo was midly over exposed, huff!". Not what the OP was looking for imho. That's not saying your post was very informative for the photographer-aficionado.

So it turns out it was just me and Rhino out there enjoying the perfect fishing conditions. I brought my boat, which engine would not start because it hates me. So I hopped on his and we went to work . I think we caught 7 or 8 all together, which is good because there were other people fishing and the ones who i talked to didn't catch anything so that felt good. Rhinos got me hooked on Senko's. Here are some pics of our best 2 fish. You guys missed out. Next time for sure

Tomorrow is the big day. I am going to be there EARLY maybe a little after sunrise tomorrow ( depending on how shattered I get tonight, got some charity bowling thing) with my sweet sweet ride (lol) The weather is going to be great, sun and clouds all day with a possibility of showers but that will be LATE tomorrow night if any at all. the wind is also supposed to hold out and should not be too bad. 65 degrees...great fishing day for sure. Please, anyone who is attending please PM me your cell # OR request for mine if you want, that way (as Rhino said) we aren't all shouting across Monponsett. Some people said they can not make it but are interested in doing this again in the future, which is good. Dont forget to print out maps etc and make sure all your gear is in order. I will be here a majority of the day to check PM's
