  1. Its awesome. I wasted alot of money on other flouro's before trying Invizx.....its alot limper and the best ive found for spinning gear. I have 6 and 8 lb on 2 different setups and love it. Guessing most people who have tried flouro and hate it are the ones who dont know how to properly use a spinning rig. After "properly" spooling it on, do You hold your rod right? Dont laugh ALOT dont! Do u "feather" the spool during a cast? Do you use your off hand and tighten the line before starting to reel? If you do this properly then flouro and especially Invizx is easily manageable and far superior to mono and most other flouro's on the market.

In Southern California....Robo's straight tails in 4.5, 6 and 7 inch sizes are THE TICKET all year round. Ive caught dinks as well as my PB 9.8lb on a 4" straight tail T-Rigged. I usually always Peg a Tungsten Bullet 3/16 with a TSTOP from BPS. Since Robo's are alot softer than most plastic worms, I also put an Iovino (Peg it) rubber nail thru the eye of a 1 or 1/0 gammie ewg hook. It helps keep the soft worms in place and saves you alot to worms. I also fish them on a drop shot and CRig, usually with 6lb flouro. Here in our ultra clear Lakes, aarons magic, margarita mutilator and hologram shad, among others, are hot colors that everyone uses. Happy New Year to Everyone.
  3. Bought a Cardiff 300A this past September and matched it with a Okuma 7'11 MH with 20lb Maxima. So far ive caught 5 swimbait bass on it. (largest 5.5) It was also my first round reel and first swimbait setup. It casts everything from Matts to AC Plugs like a dream, and seems plenty sturdy to me. Im sure the more expensive reels like the Calcutta's etc are probably smoother, but for the bucks, you cant go wrong with the Cardiff. Goodluck and Happy New Year.
  4. Its pretty light and for the money nice and sensitive. I have a 6'6 pmlf and use it for drop shotting with 6lb line.
  5. IMHO......Being on the water, Bass Fishing, finding new structure, trying a new lure, trying an old one, graphing bait balls etc All = RECREATION for me. My goal here in over-crowded California is to make it to the lake and back in one piece. Once there, in my element, the recreation part always takes care of itself.
  6. IMO, Here in Southern California, I'd like to see a standard 35 MPH limit for all watercraft. I believe most Lakes have this already, however it's like most here say, it's rarely if ever enforced. Guys are always complaining about shelling out 15-20.00 to get on the water, well try routinely handing out 250.00 fines for speeding and see how quickly the word gets out and the nonsense stops. Whether your on a jet boat, jet ski, bass boat or float tube it shouldnt matter. I dont want to hear it, that the boat manufacturers will have a cow. A speed limit hasnt hurt Porche sales. Besides, everyone knows that a 60+ mph boat is over kill and basically like with fast cars, a staus thing! "Hey look at me go, weee"...LOL . Profesional tournaments should be the exception, like with Nascar, time equals money, but for amateur and recreational boaters a speed limt is necessary and should be enforced. All this said, If Baseball's sacred records had never been broken, there would never be steroid enforcement. Thus, until someone noteworthy gets killed because of excessive speed in a boat, again there wont be any enforcement.
  7. A West Coast perspective here.....#1 Rich Tauber (saw 2 of His seminars in early 80's He convinced me to buy my 1st baitcaster), #2 Don Iovino (a So Cal Finesse Legend) and #3 Bill Dance. (always loved his "Dancin Lesons" in His Mags).
  8. Thanks Peter..Happy Holidays
  9. My Son (11) has requested a Bass Fishing Video Game for XBox for Xmas. So far, ive had a devil of a time finding one. Does anyone have one or know of one that I could research? Ya, Ya, ill probably play with it as well, Laughing. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  10. Good Guess BLANKED..Im actually close to San Bernardino...Like Diamond Valley, Casitas and Cachuma best. Would love to try "NACI" and April sounds like a great time. TY for the Tip.
  11. TY DD.....The definition of a good boat is one that lets you get on and off the water safely. Happy Holidays to everyone!
  12. Ditto Chico...I recently shopped for an 06' Nitro NX750. I wanted to get a rig that would fit into my garage along with my truck and wifey's car, so a 17'6" boat was the ticket for me. The dealer I went to sold both Nitro's and Ranger's. I was shown a beautiful Nitro nx750 with a 115merc. After asking several pertinent questions and getting the info I wanted, I was sure the Nitro was the boat for me. Then, as if devine intervention, I asked, comically, about a Ranger in the same size, never dreaming id be able to afford one. After hearing that a Ranger, equipped EXACTLY the same way was only about 3 grand more, my ultimate decision was made easy. I bought a 2006 Ranger 175DVS instead. Now, dont get me wrong, the Nitro are a good rig as well, however the "pro's and con's compared to a Ranger were overwhelming to me. If you want a liter boat (unfortunately lots of plastic used to keep weight/cost down), by all means get the Nitro. I would have been elated to own one, however "elated" doesnt begin to explain what Im feeling now with my Ranger. Goodluck with your choice, just take your time and find out all there is to know about "ALL" boats in your price range before pulling the trigger on one. BTW A pic of my new baby is on bassboating page (lets see your boats pg#4)....Happy Holiday's to everyone.

  14. My new pride and joy....A 2006 Ranger 175dvs. So far Shes only been on the water twice. It took 30 plus years of shore fishing and inferior rigs, to finally realize a dream. What a retirement gift.
