That reminds me of a show I watched with Tom Knapp he was in mexico on a dove hunt and they had people retrieving the doves. It showed a flock I guess it would be of doves coming in and he said he was gonna hit so and so with the lead bird. he shoots this dove it starts falling and he shoots it again to recorrect its flight and pegs the guy it was awsome. Not fishing related but kinda like that story

Yeah im aware of targeting fish out of season is illegal but like you iv got alot of pike befor there season even walleye when throwing spinners and spoons for trout or jigs for bass. Especialy above the dam on the oak we catch a mixed bag of bass(smb and lmb), pike, walleye in april well befor pike and walleye opens when really were cranking for bass thats where the one in my avatar came from.

It is till first sat in may I believe they didnt keep it and let it go we all do CPR the guys I fish with. But you cant stop them from bitting when they go for the same lures as bass and trout. Just gotta release them in a timly fashin just like the 100s of guys fly fishing the oak right now with trout season a week away.

That's usualy how I put them in my car I don't remember how it closed in the car door I was probably getting something out of the back a lot of my spots I just pull up grab a rod throw some lures in my pocket and make a few casts. Some spots ill grab everything but the kitchen sink.

I was surfing TW and seen these has any one tried them I might order one and see how they do.

Im most likely gonna get the Veritas the 7'3 MHF I hope gander has them in stock i dont know if I could wait for it to come in the mail like the revo is. I do have a Tec spec as well and love it but it got closed in the car door and snapped im hoping to replace it with the paycheck after this one.

About 10 years back we were kids fishing at the local river. My best friend Clay caught a dink bullhead and threw it at one of our buddys CJ hitting him in the face and the bullhead stuck its fin right threw CJs cheek and started flappin hanging there. It was hilarious we still joke about when we see CJ hes the bouncer at the local bar now.

I dont beat them persay they just get tangled alot in my car and I tend to just rip them out a couple of my rods broke last year but they were old and cheap.

Happend in my buddys pond last year killed off his whole bass population exept the fingerlings. His pond was just getting some 3 or 4# fish till last year and we didnt catch a single bass his 4 grass carp made it caught them on some flies. Just seen the little 3 inch bass swimming.

Last week it was in the mid to high 60s wake up this morning its 17* and snowing and sticking 3" calling for another 7". Look at the forcast on weather bug lows in the teens and low 20s highest is 35*. all the lakes and ponds just thawed out I was getting exited to start bassin now this WTH!! I hate the weather man lol

My Revo sx comes in the mail tomorrow and I need to pair it with a rod. My budget is about $100 and im limited to Gander mtn or dicks sporting goods so no BPS rods. its going to be a Jig/frog combo most likely im thinking MHF rod 7' or better. I mostly fish from shore or a little row boat on a private lake. What would your recommendations be its also gonna be spooled with braid if that makes a diffrence. Im pretty harsh on my equipment also getting in and out of my 4dr lumina bouncing from spot to spot.

I thought maybe the boiling water trick might work where you dip the tail in then stretch it to give the tail more action

What a worthless POS does any one have any me and my nephew picked up a few packs they were on sale. we threw them yesterday and they wouldent swim no matter how we rigged it. The best way we could get it to swim right was by burning at the point where you feel like your hands gonna fall off. Any tips to get it to swim without doing barrel rolls like a stunt plane.

the largest pike landed was maybe 28" but last year I had one that was 40+ almost half the length of the canoe that i lost at the canoe well we debated how to land it with out a net. It bit a T1 spinner I had resting on the edge of the canoe on my pole almost went in I snatched it just in time under the water a few inches. It woulda went on the wall if I landed it but my nephew doesnt know how to grab them plus he was scared lol
