To all you Burke "Experts", has anyone checked the lake lately? Is it still Iced over, I was planning on going there Sunday at 0'dark 30, so to get out of my house and clear my mind of all stresses. But don't want to go if its iced over still.

Well ok then.

My wife today, said that she can't wait for me to start fishing because she said that I look like a dog that needs to go out and pee.

This is for fishing worms and what not.....If you think you are fishing it as slow as you can.......SLOW DOWN! I'm all about Soft Plastic worms.

Can someone who knows a thing or two about Goose Creek res. PM me so we can talk shop. Don't have to give me your money spot, just got some yes or no questions.

God I know, might be heading out to burke and to lake anne in reston of the 12 and 13. Let me know if anyone else is going out. Maybe showing places, then you can leave me and head for your money spots.

Don't forget the shakey head. Or what I do is throw a buzzbait and reel it in as slow as it can, if you get short strikes, remember those places and follow it with a T-rigged worm or my personal favoirte a shakey head.

Thats always good to know. I stumbled into Lake Newport yesterday. Can anyone tell me about this lake? I don't know if it was the storms but it looks like there are a lot of fallen trees.

Do you fish it like you would shakey? Or more like C. Rig?

Ok, don't everyone bite my head off for this. I saw that little demo of the drop shot. I have never tried it becuase my T rig and shakey head works well from me. So what is the proper way to drop shot, and do you have to rig the hook like that or can you T- rig it.

Where is that picture taken at? I saw a sign for Lake Fairfax about needing a pass for trout fishing? Do you need on for bass?

Lucky strick jig head with the spring with a zoom finese worm or a strike king head with the barb with a strike king super finese worm

I would try a shakey head with a 4-5 inch worm in watermelon or a pumkin color

99% of the time I use watermelon and pumkin 1% black

I'm trying to go out Thursday, hopefully the weather will be nice and The lakes don't have ice on them.

So has anyone actually been fishing latelly? I haven't and I thought at least I can practice casting in the front yard. That was a bad move, because now the itch is worst than before and the lakes and ponds around here are still frozen over.

Question. I got my first baitcaster, I've been a spinning reel guy. How do you aviod the birdsnest? I was practicing with it in my yard, but like 1 out of 3 casts had a birds nest.

Anyone helping out the Reel American Hero fishing tourny? I will Fishing, just wanted to know if anyone was going to be there.

I am just posting to say how dumb I feel right now. I haven't fished here yet, but since most of the lakes around here only have a thin layer of ice, I decided to go get my fishing lic. I was extremely bored so I went to BPS. Well I always look to see what they got. I bought some lures and I forgot to buy my lic. Thats why my wife trys to ban me from BPS. Its my candy shop.

I can't wait untill pre spawn really gets in gear, where you can throw out anything and they will eat that up.
