I love smallies as well. Living in Michigan is the greatest spot for a smallie addict. You are not far from world class smallmouth waters from just about anywhere in the state. I know st.clair and erie get all the press, but we have a lot of other waters that are just as good: Saginaw Bay and its tribs, Little bay de noc, East and West Traverse Bay, St.Clair River, Lake Huron, Grand River, Elk lake, Burt Lake, Torch Lake, Leelenau lake, etc etc etc.

If ya'all wanna try your hands at new water, come with me to Saginaw Bay. Fishing is as good, if not better and there is no crowds. Both size and numbers are on the bay. A lot of 75 fish days in may, with a lot of fish over 5 lbs. Bring your rigs, and we can go out as a group.

I use lefties for everything. Never understood why I would use a reel that I would have to switch hands every cast, so I started with lefties.

big question for me I guess is spinning vs. casting. I am going to be fishing them mainly on big water(erie,st.clair,saginaw bay).

Wondering what ya'all like for hard jerkbait s(xrap, pointer, etc)? Do not want specific brand; just whether you like spinning tackle over casting rods and what lengths and actions. Thanks Jeremy
