  1. BPS Excel. It is very reassonably priced. Has not much memory and just the right amount stretch.
  2. Left for me. Have better control with my right arm and switching hands after the cast never made sense to me. I am Right handed.
  3. BPS Pro Qualifier - I really like the Dual braking on these reels. They will keep your leaning curve shorter. However, do purchase a line pick when your at BPS to assist in backlash removal. I made my own from a crochet hook.
  4. Check the Ohio DNR website and do some reading in Ohio Fish and Game. There are lots around within a little drive.
  5. 6' med, fast, I fish an inexpesive shimano (IM-6). MONO-always mono on top.
  6. I agree with the thught process. I am going to pick up an STX soon. Can't wait for the water to thaw.
  7. I own one. Nice reel for the money. I spend a little bit more for most of my reels but I was happy with my purchase. ($99.00) new. Been fishing with it about seven seasons.
  8. I thought the same thing. Worthwhile section but could use a more accurate title. "Sponsers and Resume Advice and Questions"?
  9. Whats the best way to clean off the residual coating from the rod with a broken guide. Actually the guide is fine, the threads broke and I need to repair it.
  10. Just thought I 'd take a minute to introduce myself. I fish a couple of times a week. Spend most of my time on a 20 acre farm pond but do get some time on some of the lakes in Ohio. I am not a boat owner and have access to one at the pond. In the coldest of the months in Ohio I chase the Steelhead in our tributaries off Lake Erie. It is an awesome way to take the edge off in the winter.
  11. Culprit, chomppers, good prices on rapalas.
  12. 9# is pretty special, Absolutly
