personally I like to use it this time of year especially behind someone throwing a spinnerbait. I like to have a ragetail trailer on it because that gives off a lot of vibration but not as much as a spinnerbait or a crankbait would. For muddy waters throw the black/blue combo and for clear water a white will work but then in the summer months switch to a bluegill colored swim jig. toss that bait right up on to the shore and swim it back with pumps in the rod and hang on ;D
  12. yeah i was down this past weekend...check out the topic of kentucky lake hawg in this forum. I think i just added you as a friend on facebook as well. We caught our fish pretty shallow last weekend....is that the case with you as well? points and lead in banks the lake is stained to uddy now with rain and a cold front coming through :'(

  20. hey guys i am new to this forum but post quite a bit on others. I love fishing and am a freshman at missouri s&t and am getting a club started so if anyone know any contacts etc to help me out shoot me a PM. Thanks I went down to kentucky lake this past weekend to show some guys a few spots for a tournament they have in April and man was it brutal. The lake had 4-6 foot swells both days on the maiin channel so we couldnt fish the spots i really wanted to fish. I did have some other spots that we fished and caught some fish for it being so cold and nasty out. I did end up catching this big hawg on sunday morning!
  21. I was down there this weekend and did pretty well. Do not plan on fishing the east side of the lake if the winds were like they were this weekend!!! that is where all my honey holes are but we did hit some points and i caught one pushing close to or above 8! ;D
