  1. Bobby, Are you still mad that I haven't called you in a while or what??? You have had my address and telephone numbers for about 10 years now and I still get not 1 single little jig head. That's ok though, I am going to pay your son to secretly mail me a big ole' box of stuff from your secret lab. If I recall, he should be about 5-6 by now so I think he can figure out how to send stuff by UPS. LOL Later Man, JT Bagwell
  2. I am no eye doctor or anything, but a guy that I worked with on a project about 6-7 years ago told me a few things about cheap glasses, He said that although sunglasses may allow you to see into the water a little better than the naked eye and they block the sun, they actually can cause severe damage to your eyes. If I remember correctly he said the lenses do not have a coating, that good quality glasses have, that blocks the UV rays and things like that. When you have the sunglasses on, your eyes dilate. When this happens your cheap glasses allow a much greater amount of harmful rays to penetrate the eye causing a lot of damage. You can research this information for yourself online, but that was some of the stuff I remember from our dealings. He worked for a major sunglass mfg (whom happens to have an ad at the top of the page right now). JT Bagwell
  3. They aren't really Gary Yamamoto products, but I do think it is some relation. I did some research on the brand and it looks like another Yamamoto in Japan owns the company (Swans) and Gary is just selling them on his site. I do not know of any other place that has them, but they are awesome glasses. I have worn a lot of sunglasses from different brands and these are by far the best I have personally had. JT Bagwell
  4. I ordered my jerseys from Gemini and I never had to sign any release forms or anything of that nature. The only thing I had to do was get permission from Corporate to use a logo that they did not have on file at Gemini. I am pretty sure that Gemini is the one that has the permission to use the logos, not the individual person getting the shirts made. My shirts came out to $125 each. JT Bagwell
  5. I am all about the PowerPro. I was bass fishing 2 weeks ago and had flipped a jig into a brush pile. A 15 lb flathead catfish snatched it up and had me all kinds of wrapped up in the tree branches. I was able to get that fish out of the brush and into the boat with no problem. I didn't even have to retie my line. 20 yards down the bank I put my jig in another brush pile and pulled out a 5 lb largemouth. It is nice when your line is one thing that you never have to worry about. I never worry about my PowerPro breaking on me. JT Bagwell
  6. Guys, for any of you that are in the market for some new sunglasses for fishing, check these out http://***/cgi-bin/order/scan/sf=category/se=sunglasses?arECPGNJ;;71 These things are so comfortable and it is amazing how well you can see into the water. I have been wearing them for about a month now and I love them. I just ordered 2 more pairs about 5 minutes ago. JT Bagwell
  7. I use PowerPro in 8, 10, 15 and 20 pound test on my spinning reels. JT Bagwell
  8. "hey man" great post. lol I have assisted a couple of smaller companies with reviewing sponsorship requests (several years ago). The stuff people write in their letters or emails is just completely crazy. Another thing that drives me nuts is how often I personally get hit up for donations and/or sponsorships. I don't even have a company for goodness sakes. Do these people think I am going to get cash and products from my sponsors and just give it to them or what? Once again, El Grande, Great Post. But Hey, can you hook me up with some free lures? You know that one cool bait you have in that one color that works good? Just kidding. JT Bagwell
  9. I waiting a while to watch the interview on here with Gerald Swindle because I thought it would take forever to load. Boy was I wrong. It loaded fast and it was a great interview. What you see there is the "real" G-Man. I kind of laughed to myself when he mentioned climbing a tree while deer hunting in Illinois because a few years ago he called me on his cell phone while sitting in a tree in Illinois (I live in Illinois). I encourage everyone to watch this video. Nice work Glenn. JT Bagwell
  10. I think it is on at like 5 or 6 am on Saturday's on ESPN. Not 100% sure though. I have my DVR set to record them for me automatically so I don't have to think about it. JT Bagwell
  11. Anybody else notice on Beat Charlie Moore this weekend, his whole show is full of advertisements for Wiley X Sunglasses, but he was wearing a pair of Oakley sunglasses? I think I would be angry if I were the people paying the bills at Wiley X. JT Bagwell
  12. If it is the same Dick's flyer that I got today, it says right in it that it is a Silver Max. B. Silver Max Lightning Rod Baitcast Combo - $39.99 after rebate. JT Bagwell
  13. I am another member of the PowerPro Posse. I also use the 8#, 10#, 15# and 20# test PowerPro on my spinning reels. As mentioned eariler, put monofilament on first and then connect the PowerPro to the monofilament by using a Uni-Knot. There are instructions for this in every box of PowerPro. The new EZ Spool from PowerPro makes it even easier to put line on your reels. JT Bagwell
  14. I have this Xtools scale and it is very nice. JT Bagwell
  15. Although I have never worn Strike Kings from Wally World, I would guess that the Swans might be a little better. lol JT Bagwell
  16. Looks good Bobby. Talk to you soon. JT Bagwell
  17. My 3 choices would be Pflueger Medalist Pflueger Supreme Pflueger Supreme XT They are all great reels. I have the least experience with the XT since I just got them, but they feel better than any other reel so far. JT Bagwell
  18. I am mostly just using 5" Yamamoto twin tail grubs as my jig trailers. Sometimes I still use the Zoom Jig Chunks, but most of the time I am throwing jigs with the 5" Yamamoto Twin tail grubs on the back. JT Bagwell
  19. I just got to try out my new Swans sunglasses over the weekend and I was very impressed. They are a little more than the $50 price range you are looking at, but boy are they worth the money. Below are the 2 styles that I have. The picture of the red ones is just to show the style, they don't actually come in that color (I got black w/ copper lenses) and then I got the yellow pair that is pictured. JT Bagwell
  20. I would say that you really need to study and then come back with a much better answer. This is big business and you need a big business answer. What you gave is a 16 year old's answer. JT bagwell
  21. I use Red PowerPro a lot. Just used it yesterday actually. PowerPro is a braided line so it is nothing like Cajun line. It is a lot better. JT Bagwell
  22. Pay attention to what is going on around you, learn every single thing you can and never think that you know it all. JT Bagwell
  23. 50 lb test PowerPro or 12 lb Berkley Trilene JT Bagwell
  24. I use PowerPro for all of my braided line applications. Keep your drag set a little bit loose too. Since braid doesn't stretch, it can put a lot of pressure on your rod when you have a hard hookset when using jigs and plastics. Try the Hi-Vis Yellow PowerPro braid when fishing baits like Yamamoto Senkos and Jigs. Sometimes you can actually see the line twitch before you ever feel anything. JT Bagwell
  25. It was mentioned in another thread (I didn't want to hijack it by going off topic) that Cajun Line was now owned by Zebco instead of Shakespeare. I didn't notice because the transaction happened at the end of the season. Here is why... JT Bagwell Marine Finance Zebco buys four Shakespeare fishing line brands Boating Industry Friday August 10, 2007 Email this article to a friend! TULSA, Okla. Zebco W.C. Bradley, best known as a rod and reel company, has acquired four brands of fishing line from Shakespeare Co. LLC, Zebco said in a release yesterday upon completion of the transaction. The purchased fishing line brands are Cajun Red, Omniflex, Supreme and Outcast. Details of the acquisition were not disclosed. "We are pleased to have this opportunity to enter the fishing line market," Jeff Pontius, Zebco president said. "The acquired business is a small but growing beachhead' for us in the line market and we plan to expand on it over time." The transaction is a result of a Federal Trade Commission decision. Shakespeare's parent company, K2 Inc., is owned by Jarden Corp., which recently acquired Pure Fishing Inc. Because Pure Fishing already has the leading market position on fishing line with brands like Berkley Trilene, Stren and Spiderwire, the FTC required Shakespeare to sell its fishing line business, Zebco said. "We are excited about the line opportunities," said Bob Bagby, Zebco vice president of marketing. "Cajun Red pioneered the idea of red line which quickly becomes less visible in use since red is the first color absorbed by water. The red line continues to grow in popularity and we're confident we can further build on its momentum." Pontius expanded on the company's plans, saying that although transfer of ownership to Zebco has already occurred, the change will not be apparent to consumers for some time as the existing inventory moves through distribution. "The brands we acquired will remain the names on the product," he said. "They are good, popular brands. The transition should be relatively seamless for all customers." Zebco will ultimately move the line business to its facilities in Tulsa and Claremore, Okla., but does not foresee any changes to its workforce needs over this time.
