4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I have fished near Aurora a few times and it is pretty decent. I have always put in at the KY Dam Marina and ran down. Should be good in the Spring if we don't get some crazy cold front or tornados. Don't forget to get KY and TN licenses if you venture very far south out of Aurora (into TN) because you will need both to be legal if you fish in KY and TN waters. JT Bagwell

Why do FishChris' fish look so big? I think I know.
LOL That's funny. JT Bagwell

ikas
You run the point of the hook through the end of the Ika that has the skirt on it. From there you thread the bait up the hook about 1/4" just like you would when rigging a normal Texas rig. Here is a picture that I found on Bass Dozer's website that shows what it should look like. JT Bagwell Ok, for some reason it will not show the photo. Must be blocking it because it is from Bass Dozer's site.

braid for crankbaits?
I used to use PowerPro exclusively when I fished a crankbait. However, one thing I found is when you are fishing areas with a lot of wood or other snags, it is very hard to pop your bait free like you can do with Monofilament and Flourocarbon lines. So now I use PowerPro for everything, but cranking. JT Bagwell

Lake El Salto Mexico?.
Robert, if you pay me $3,000 (roughly the price of the trip, including airfare), I would be glad to fish with you in Mexico. LOL JT Bagwell

senkos & line type
Hi-Vis Yellow PowerPro is a braided line. The biggest advantage of using the colored line is the ability to see it. I can watch my line a lot better with Hi-Vis Yellow PowerPro than I can with Moss Green PowerPro. Most of the time you can see a strike (line watching) much sooner than you will ever feel it. Most of the time I fish Gary Yamamoto Senkos on Hi-Vis Yellow PowerPro line. JT Bagwell

Questions about tournaments
I have never researched state laws, but every state I have fished tournaments in has required a permit. Some states do not charge a fee for the permits, but require you to have them. JT Bagwell

B.A.S.S. boats?
That was how it was prior to this year. If I were a sponsor paying huge dollars I would want my brand on television as much as possible too. (not that I support making someone fish out of a different boat) JT Bagwell

B.A.S.S. boats?
If I had to guess I would say it is all driven by money. I know I was told that Triton was looking to gear their marketing more towards the weekend angler, so maybe it was their decision not to renew their contract. In reference to Ranger, they sponsor the FLW Tour because both the FLW and Genmar Holdings (parent company of Ranger boats) are both owned by Irwin Jacobs. JT Bagwell

Pflueger Trion = Gold Medalist Pro?
I can not remember exactly when the Pflueger Trion spinning reel came out, but it seems like it has been 4-5 years now (my years all seem to run together now that I am old lol). It is common practice for supplier to have store specific product lines. You very well could have two identical reels with different names. Judging by the pictures, it looks like you do. How did they compare in price? JT Bagwell

What do you guys think?
Rob, aren't you a rich guy? I thought you were buying a mansion in Wisconsin or something? When I used Rogue rods I snapped one of them on a 2 lb fish. They replaced it, but it broke while I was trying to show a guy how nice they were. I have been using All Star rods ever since they were bought out by Shakespeare and so far I have not broke one. I have busted a few tips on my Pitchin' rods when I am sticking them down in the water to free a snag, but that is it. JT Bagwell

Berkley Spooling Station? ( spinning reels)
I would assume that the dry line running between the pages of the book would cause friction related heat. As a result, it would weaken the line. I have never tried it myself so I am just speculating. JT Bagwell

Partiarch Vs. Revo STX
I know nothing about Ryobi, Silstar and Pinnacle, but the other brands you mentioned (including Abu Garcia) are all owned by the same company. It is called Jarden Corp. JT Bagwell

Lake El Salto Mexico?.
What is a ballpark estimate of what the entire trip costs for 3 to 5 days? I have been wanting to go there too, but I am pretty tight with my money. I hate parting with it. lol JT Bagwell

Partiarch Vs. Revo STX
You ever owned a Pflueger? They are both owned by the same company now. I personally have not used either reel yet, but plan on trying both if I have the opportunity. In reference to Pflueger reels, I have been using them several seasons now and have not had any trouble. They are very smooth casting and reeling and have been very dependable. JT Bagwell

Berkley Spooling Station? ( spinning reels)
I use this same spooling station for my baitcasters, but I lay the spool flat on the floor for my spinning reels. JT Bagwell

what line to use for suspending jerkbait
If the water has any kind of color to it, I go with PowerPro (no leader). If it is clear then I go with PowerPro and a monofilament leader. JT Bagwell

Swim Senko Technique?
The screw in weight is the key to success with this bait. If you try to fish them weightless and just let them fall, the tail will over power the rest of the bait and fall backwards. It was not really designed to be fished in the same fashion as the original senko. I normally fish them on 1/8th to 1/4 oz screw in weights. You can flip them into pockets in vegetation or swim them just under the surface and they are going to be fish getters. There are several different ways to fish the Swim Senko, but most are going to require the screw in weight. JT Bagwell
