Ethanol Free Gas Caroline/fredericksburg Va Area For Gas Motor?
They are the exact same for 2 stroke engines( Reguarding gas). Only difference is adding the oil in a 2 stroke. My yamaha dealer recommends running RING-FREE (helps with carbon and other build up) in all yamaha and mercury engines, as well as some sort of marine stabil. He said put them in every tank. I also use a large fuel filer and change it every year. If you use your boat a ton, twice a year. I have been spoiled with 4 strokes and oil reservoirs on two strokes, but nope looks like we are ALL BACK to measuring cups at the gas station for these additives... LOL. He was explaining to me that some gas tanks have had reports of ethanol up to 20%........ It really makes you wonder tho how consistant these tanks are... I mean think about it. How many pumps do you go to were all 3 grades of gas come out of the same nozzle? Makes you wonder what grade/octane you are really getting.... Ive been doing this ever since my Yamaha 150 VMAX blew up on on me, because of carbon build up in the cylinders......looked like the positons went in a garbage disposal! It woulda been 6500 to rebuild the powerhead, I just sold the boat as a loss with the blown motor

Mattaponi River
Do you have a place on the matt? If not, the Pamunkey is a way better fishery, which is closer to richmond as you probably already know. If you look at the DGIF fish shock data, the matt is real low for bass, I think it was lowest of all the fisheries they had listed the last time I checked. Its known for having Cats, but also known for not having bass. Not just hard to fish, but there just isnt as many.... Theres a reason people drive past the Matt. to fish the Pamunkey. They hold bass tournaments at the Pumk ever other weekend..... I fish the Pamunkey a fair amount GF's family lives on the reservation there. Just my 2cents

Outboard Repair Richmond Va Area
Ive taken my boats to most places around richmond, I only take my outboards to Adams and Durvin. They are fair, know their stuff and best of all.... they leave all their boats indoors! They are in the East end. Ive had bad experiences with COOPERS MARINE, so stray from there.... I had my 150 VMAX winterized and maintained by them for two years straight. I took it out in the spring to fish for shad.... motor died. Took it to them, they said i blew a rod, motor was f ed. they said it was 6500 to get a new powerhead. I asked them why this happened, they said because i hadnt winterized it properly..... I said yall have done it the last two years... and they said there was nothing they could do about it because it wasnt under warranty...... Sorry. At EDS MARINE, their service is very poor, they are azzez most of the time. They charge a arm and a leg. They are a good place to get the best price on a boat, especially a sea hunt. Also stray from MARINESERVE on mechanicsville trpk. That guy with Reem you a new one. Charges are crazy..... its funny I always pass by there any theres boats that have been there for months. Either hes going to charge to much.... or people cant afford to pick them up. He tried to charge me over 1k, to do a basic tune up and clean the carbs on a 90 hp force by mercury outboard motor..... I got him down a little less than than because i told him he was crazy and other places said theyd do what he did for about half that. He charges per hour from the book, not how much time he actually spends like a honest shop. (so if each carb to be cleaned by the book is 1-1.5 hour, he charges that for each one he does...

The 1911 pistol turns 100 this year, and I turn 45.
Honestly I think the key to my 1911's are using Wilson combat magazines. They are expensive, but I've never had a problem with any of my Kimber's, Springfield's or Colts! If you haven't used them, check them out!
