My wife has small hands but doesn't have a problem with any spinning reels, the shimano 50 size baitcasters are her preference. She doesn't have any different problem with rods that I haven't seen. Usually it will come down to personal comfort

I use curados and chronarch 50's with pitching jigs from 1/4 to 1oz, no under power at all. Using the core, with it being smoother than the other two 50's I'd rather use it for a moving bait, but no problem for what you're looking at.

Shimano has smaller profiles available (line size) . Abu has more options for standard sizes. Really depends what you want to use
