St. Croix 2015 Avid X Axc70Mf For Smaller Sized Large Mouth And Small Mouth Bass?
Any model avid is a fine sensitive stick, good purchase. I don't get why you're missing strikes. Cranks are a reaction bait, most of the time fish set the hook by themself. The SCII rods are plenty fine for that.

I don't know what you're getting at, the phase doesn't add or remove gravity

One Piece Of Advice...
My advice, don't believe everything you hear, lot of misinformation and product marketing hype out in our hobby that some get fed right into.

Longer Handle On Baitcaster?
You still provide leverage with the reel handle, the handle length is more of comfort really, like palm ability

Longer Handle On Baitcaster?

Nice Spinning Reels?
I'd personally chose the CI4+ but for a lower price point I would check out the Lew's Team Gold Carbon
-
Nice Spinning Reels?
That is because they changed the design to a more compact one making them knuckle busters
-
Snap Swivels?
Just the snap, not swivel, on certain rods like cranking.

Rods Or Reels
I was a machine mechanic, machine builder, millwright. I always loved the workings of machinery. A reel is great example of the mechanics I enjoy.

New Baitcaster Setup And Its A Toss Up
Stuff happens, we still have two of those mojo cranks and they are still just fine and they get fished next to much higher up cranking models. St croix also has a upgrade program so you can get a discount on a better rod from them. There are many options out there in the $100 range for a cranking rod Why wouldn't you get both ratios? You're looking at the $300 range for just one reel (metanium), you can find both the TP 6.4 and a TP 7.1 for two different rods for the same price.

New Baitcaster Setup And Its A Toss Up
I think what they were getting at is you don't need that sensitive of a rod for reaction baits like cranks, though it's still nice. You are asking for two different choices here, a crank or multipurpose. Personally the multipurpose would handle so much more and be used everywhere. I would look into trying to get both. A 6.4 lews tourney pro for cranks and the 7.1 for multi, you can find these for much cheaper than retail. You didn't mention what mojo rod but the 7'MHM cranking is a very nice rod, you can use the warranty service croix has. Far as multipurpose/contact rods you can find used dobyns extremes closer to $200

Reel Gearing Vs Inches Retrieved : Turn Of The Reel Handle And Mechanical Advantage
All this to complicate that a longer handle equates to longer time traveled/more energy spent on rotation.. There's relevance in many things, I understand where you went with it, the longer handle takes more time per revolution thus creating the sense that the ratio is slower. I believe there's a lot of things people over think or complicate when it comes to fishing, and IMO this one of them. I'm not discrediting your thoughts but I look at other factors when selecting a reel such as spool capacity, smoothness, weight, ergonomics.

St Croix Rods
An Avid or LT would stay in your rod rotation for a very long time, I have several lesser models/brands that just sit in the corner taking up space whereas the avid/lt are still being used as secondary rigs after I've upgraded

Just enough to catch more fish than other brands

You won't know until you try one, no matter how many praise them. Sensitivity is close but the LT is better.

Wacky Rig Rod-Setup Suggestions
The answers are all over, meaning it's up to you on what you'll really want. I mainly use a Avid 68MXF with a 2500 CI4+ but have been dropping down sometimes to the 610MLXF since there's less cover around. And as far as my wife, well I took her lead with what to use

Astro Tables
From what I've seen, it's another tool that holds back some fishermen from going out and catching fish. Too many follow that system and believe it works. Key is to go out and fish whenever you can.
