I am wondering if it would be a good idea to try to get some sponsors when you get in a bass clubn starting out? never been one before so im new to this. thanks for the help!

The 6:4 is good for about anything you use. i just bought a 7:1 a few weeks ago for pitching and flipping, useing jigs, and burning spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. the 7:1 is good for picking up alot of line QUICK! so if your fishing a jig and a hog picks up your jig and starts swimming at you you'll be able to pick up that slack in your line and set the hook before he drops it.

I have been seriously thinking about joining a club and really learning alot and keep learning and getting better. ive been fishing with one of my dads frinends that placed 16th in 1980 in the bassmaster classic. hes really teaching alot! my wife supports me in anything i deside to do (which is rare! lol). there is ALOT to learn!!! i am very supprised how many things you have to look at. i have fished all my life but never in a tournament or anything. the problem is the guy i fish with isnt able to go sometimes and i dont have a boat of my own. i know you need to be on the water as much as possiable. you can only read so many denny brauer books and pactice fipping an pitching so many times lol!! i could go fish ponds around here but pond fishing where the fish hit anything is completely different from lake fishing!!! like night and day! so what do you guys think i should do? i the kind thats timmed i guess you could say, about joining a club and drawing to fish with someone and the guy hates fishing with "Rookies". So i dont really know what to do.........

probley more around the $150 price range actually.

Has anyone looked at or heard anything about the Denny Brauer with American Rodsmith rods? like to stay under $200. the denny brauer flippin and pitchin rod is $179 but have not found any reviews on them.

i bought the 7:1 Revo for jig fishing and burning baits, mainly jiggin. i still dont know where to lean torward for a rod. looking for a very sensitive and good quility rod! i love the Falcon Caras but holy Moses!!! way to expensive for me!!!! anyone have any good ideas for a reasonable pirce?

im looking for somemore baitcaster reels. i have a Revo and Revo sx. kinda looking for something a little bit less expensive but still good quility that will last. any ideas?

that is what i would do as will. less wormless hook to grab. i mainly use 3/0-4/0 hook on all my Tx rigs for that reason as well.

I dont know about any others out there but when its windy, fishing is the last thing i want to do simply because, well, it sucks and i never catch fish. like today, with wind gusts up to 30-40mph. thats a little stupid lol. So what i am wondering, im sure you can catch fish just as you can when it isnt very windy, but when you fishing when the wind is blowing the wind blows slack in your line and it kinda makes it had to watch your line and feel bits when the water is choppy and wind is blowing. so is there such thing as to windy to fish? if not what are your tactics?

water temp also is a factor around here. in pre spawn where the water temp is 30-50's (jan-march) deep water structures, submerged trees and brush, creek channels, and drop off points depending on the depth, i would fish a lighter jig for a slower fall rate because in this time they are not as aggresive and protective as they are in the spawn and post spawn.

ive seen on most of the articles ive read that they trim the weed guard and trim around the head of the jig. and are rage trailors the way to go? I have some KVD craws but from what ive read on here is most perfur the rage. what do ya think?

im in the zone! this spring sale a BPS has me all worked up! lol...i have a 6-4-1 Abu-Garcia reel. that is the only real i have. i am going to get another new reel. what do you fish with a 6-4 and what would you use a 7-1 for? alot of people i have talked to said they would even own a 6-4. i no its personal preference but lookin for a guide lol. again i know this is basic stuff and sorry. im learning.

I have not fished jigs to much mainly because i have been scared to use them. I just started fishing them last spring. didnt have to much luck with it. i mainly have 1/2-3/4 oz. I do have a couple 1/4 oz jigs. when would you use the 1/4 oz? I have a friend that he usually uses a 1/4 oz. im pretty green at jig fishing but hearing and seeing how anglers love them really makes me want to dive a little farther into fishing jigs but mainly fish them right! I have a Falcon Low Ryder,med/heavy and a Falcon Original med/heavy action both 7 ft. rods. i have been looking a getting a couple rods and ive been lookin a Gloomis. are all of there rods lure spasific? or just stay with my Falcon rods? pluse the Falcons are cheaper lol. what are some suggestions on rods? Oh and what could i use my low rider and falcon origial for?

I have a Falcon Low Rider and a Falcon Origional (both 7 ft rods and med/heavy). i would like to get a couple more good rods and i have been lookin ar Gloomis rods. What is the difference between a 6'6 rod (crankbait series) and some other Glommis rods? can pretty much use any rod for anything you throw? just because is a spinnerbair series doesnt mean you cant use it for a worm rod to? or all they bait spasific? if they all are bait spasific then what could i use my Low Rider and Original for? i have never used a Gloomis rod and be the first time ive used my Low Rider this year. ive always went with the wal mart specials untill i fish the falcon rod. is a Gloomis rod worth $245.00 ? please help! i have just resently started tourney fishing so if i sound like an amiture thats because i am lol. thanks for all the help!

at one certain lake i fish at there is alot of lilly pads. the water usually ranges to 2'-12'ft of water (2ft closer to the shore and 12ft in the middle). what are good baits to use for places like that?
