Alright I got a revo s about christmas time and by march it made a loud noise when I cast with it. I got it taken care of and serviced at a local shop that is known to do good work my problem is its doing this noise again the casting distance doesnt seem to be affected but the noise is horribly loud and gets on my nerves. Does any body have any suggestions on what to do?

I like mine on a carolina rig.

yes I prefer barbs on any of my treble hooked lures. Plastics on the other hand the only thing the barb really helps with is keeping the bait skin hooked but its not a huge issue. As long as you keep slack out of your line when they jump you shpuld be fine but even if you dont most times it stays hooked.

I dont think the barb matters when fishing plastics but on cranks they do get thrown more often.

My friend got tricked into the light lure they are brutal they dont swim right and the light doesnt always work.

Thanks for going through the trouble to figure that out for me one of the guides just popped out of my replacement veritas so I might just stay away from abu since they told me to find a new rod.

See if you can return the rod for a lightning rod its an amazaing rod for 40 bucks.

Im either going to buy the vendetta or carbonlite. how would you compare the veritas and vendetta.

I have a pack ive caught fish using a weighted hook just throwing it out and reeling it in through the reeds.

The eva foam shouldn't be a problem I personally prefer it over cork grip, but I will use cork if its a better rod.

I already have the premier and use it for crankbaits.

Casting in the 100-130 dollar range and I am looking for a rod that has good sensitivity for fishing plastics.

Please help me pick my next rod what I am looking at so far is a veritas,vendetta verdict,bps carbonlite,and quantum smoke pt. Apparently the veritas and vendetta are made of the same graphite but have diferent blanks so whats the difference? I already have the veritas and love it ,but it broke thankfully they replaced it. I have heard good things about all the rods I mentoned. I have also heard about breakage on the verdict but is it that much worse than the veritas? Any other reccomendations would be appreciated.

No their not the lazer, they are deffinantly too big to be tungsten.

In that case im about to take it off my veritas since it is my favorite rod. Im also jealous about the citica they didnt have any right handed models yesterday. oh well I guess I will keep looking.

Yeah I figured. Is steel more sensitive than lead though?

They say they are eco friendly so they are not made of lead but they arent tungsten are they? I picked up three packs of 1/2 oz weights last night from dicks for $.48 each.
