Hey all, I have two Fitzgerald versa rods. I want to use one for jigs and plastics with bullet weights and the other for swimjigs and frogs. The first is a 7ft heavy (very soft tip) with a fast tip rated 3/8-3/4 lures. I only throw 3/8 and 1/2oz jigs. The next rod is a 7ft med heavy fast rated 1/4 to 3/4. Ive used the 7ft heavy for jigs and I really love it, but wondering if it would be better to use the 7'3? I planned to use the 7'3 for frogs and swimjigs. Both have a great soft tip and alotnof backbone. i originally chose the 7ft for jigs cause I'm only 5'6 so it would have been easier to skip docks, etc. what are your opinions? And why?

hello, i caught this bass today from the bank in northern virginia in a lake x. i dont see many spotted bass here but this one kinda looks like one to me. picture attached.

thanks all. I was given the advice to start at small cheaper boats and move up but since im in the military now and getting out soon and planning to start fishing for college, TBF, hopefully FLW as soon as possible I plan on just jumping the gun and praying.

hey all, im looking to get a bass boat in a few years, my price range is about 15,000. ive seen some nice low and mid 2000's triton and rangers for 10-20,000. a background on myself is that ive been bass fishing for 8 years now, been a coangler with ABA, and have won a few tournaments from the back of the boat. I think im a pretty good fisherman (or I would like to think so) but I have NO idea on what im doing with boats. is there anyone who could give me info on buying or even a website, video that explains the mechanics? I wouldn't know the first thing wrong with a boat if something were to happen to the outboard, etc. im really trying to learn about boat mechanics, operation, and general info on buying. what kind of questions to ask, what are "too many hours" on it. I do not feel confident buying a bass boat if I don't understand pretty well.

Does anyone have Cocoon Iaconelli Pro Series Pilot Sunglasses? im seeing them on *** and dont see a length to the bridge of the nose. if anyone has a pair and would like to let me know the measurement please let me know. Also if anyone has anything to say about these glasses please do so

anyone hear of this new nanofil line? does it sink or float? invisible underwater or not?

some people say use 4/0 and some say 6/0 with the 5inch basstrix wimbait. idk which one. can anyone show me a picture of one rigged on a 4/0?

i will be buying 4 and 4 inch basstrix paddletail swimbaits. i was wondering what hooksizes they are. i will be buying wighted twist lock swimbait hooks. anyone use these and know what sizes they take?

anyone use frogs often? i was wondering what rod/reel is best at a affordable price. looking for a 7.1:1 ratio reel under 200$

im looking for the best type of line. im currently using pline. its flurocarbon coated line so you get the best of both worlds. its thin and smooth and does get bad line memory. BUT lately its been failing and snapping on me. i could just boost up the 12pound test to 15 but im curious on you guys' opinion

people tune crankbaits so they swim right. anyone do this? id like to know what causes the problem and how to fix it
