Exo Pt Vs. Mgx
For me it was the mgx which i am not regretting, but i do like the exo too. I'll probably end up with an exo combo also.

Best Baitcast Combo For 100$ Or Less
If you can get this done you won't find a better combo than this for $100. Might take a lot of searching but worth it.

Cant Get The Reel To Seat Correctly
Is this the winch model? I read on another forum the new winch series rods were designed for the winch reel and a lot of other brands don't fit properly.

Help Me Round Out My Arsenal
X2 don't compromise save money and get what you want later. I briefly was obsessed with cabelas bargain cave, now I have a closet full of rods I don't use.

New Gear You Got.
Loving the spinning combo. That other spool looks sick on the supreme.

What's The Heaviest/lightest Rod And Line You Will Use For Finesse Fishing?
I disagree with this completely. If I'm throwing an 8 inch swimbait on an 8 foot rod and 50# braid it doesn't matter how I'm fishing it, its not finesse. Also if I'm fishing a 1/8 oz shakey head on 6# line running and gunning its still finesse.

Favorite Old School Bait
Jitterbugs and hula poppers.

Shakey Head Plastics
One of my favorites has been the flying squirrel from big bite baits. I have had good luck with it. I also like rage craws of course.

Abu Garcia Veritas Cranking Rod??
I honestly dont know anything about the rod, but I read on another forum the reel seat is designed for rhe revo winch reel. Apparently the winch reel has a large reel foot so alot of reels dont fit properly in the reel seat. Shimano in particular has no reels that work with the rod. Again i know none of this first hand its just what ive read. Be cautious about what reel you pair it with especially if you have to order blindly over the internet like i do.

New Quantum Exo Pt
I really wanted to get an exo. I'm not really a quantum guy but have used the smoke and the pt tour wnd thought they were pretty nice. I was just about ready.to pull the trigger on one when I read a bass pro review that said the rivets that connected the reel foot to the frame loosened up and that really turned me off. Even if thay were to stay tight I think any quality reel should have a one piece frame. I may still get one but I wont be using it for cranks as originally planned. Anybody have any thoughts on a riveted reel foot. Am I making too much of a big deal about it?

New Crucial Crankbait Rod
I haven't heard anything about them yet. I was just wondering if anyone has them and what do you think about them?

Bait Casting Reel ?
The upgraded citica for $45 dollars is pretty much an unbearable offer. As far as what hand I am left handed and use right handed reels so you may want to go righty. I.would def check out the lefty upgraded citica though.

Best Lures For Boils?
Zoom fluke for me too. When bass are chasing a school of shad they will attack the weak or one that gets separated from the school. When they see the fluke twitching like a dying shad they hit it. My personal favorite color is.glimmer blue from zoom. Probably my single favorite plastic to fish with.

I Hope You Do Catch More Or Better Fish Than Me!
My comment wasn't directed toward you and I assume fat-g's was not either. I was more talking in real life. Thanks for the apology but certainly not necessary. To be honest I've never even noticed you refer to anyone as bud.

I Hope You Do Catch More Or Better Fish Than Me!
Your not alone." Bud" bothers me too. Along with "kid" and "guy". It always comes across in a condescending way even if its not intended.

Weirdest Thing You've Reeled In
I always protect all my gear with a stik-jacket. Is this enough bad puns or should we keep going.lol.

Weirdest Thing You've Reeled In
What was your go to bait. I always had luck with singles. And of course always catch and release.

Stick-O Vs. Senko
Senkos are one of very few baits ill pay knowing they cost too much. I don't buy $30 hard baits I don't buy $20 spinnerbaits and I won't buy a $10 jig. The senkos to me though really are better.

Fishing Knots
I use a polymer knot as often as I can. It's very quick and very easy. The only exceptions are with flourocarbon I use the shaw grigsby "no idea what its called knot" that's what he calls it . I think its also referred to as the eugene knot. Then sometimes I use a loop knot when I don't want the bait to be hindered by the knot. Mostly cranks and I also use it for swim jigs.

Rage Craw!!!!!! ....wow
More often than not I use them as a trailer for a skirted football jig, but sometimes I use them on an unskirted football jig. A lot of.people use a weighted stickbait hook. I believe this is called the rage rig. Next season Im going to try them on a darter head.

Rod And Reel For Flippin And Pitchin?

Phenix Bass Reacon Rods
Due to your vague description of what rod/rods your talking about I don't know if your talking about the recons or phenix in general. I have only fished the recons so that's what ill address as I currently have the 714 and 764. Nothing in your post is even slightly true. In fact its the complete opposite of the truth. First off the weights are not only competitive but they are actually lighter than a lot of rods at and above there price range. Proven not only by the feel in hand but also the thread entitled recon rod weights on tackletour.com. Second balance is very good. They balance better than my comparable cumaras. Their exceptional balance is also supported by the thread entitled champion vs recon that puts there balance in the same class as dobyns and we all know how much people love the balance of dobyns rods. In fact of the two specific models the poster uses the recon has a better balance point. Also of the few people in the thread who have used both they all prefer the recons, and said they will be swithcing out all there rods. I prefer mine to my cumaras as well.So again not only do they compete in their price range but above it. Now on to the actions. Every manufacturer has their own ratings and tips. If they couldn't make a good blank I don't think they would have such a strong following among custom builders. The recons specifically are exactly what I expect and the 714 is the most versatile rod I have. I hate to bring up tackletour again but perhaps you would like to see the thread entitled recon question in which a loomis fan says the 714 is more versatile than the 843 and says depending on which line its a better buy.
