Zara spook or a sebile ghost walker

the drop shot is one of my favorite rigs, just the other day fishing a zoom french fry worm of the same size i was catching fish on a ledge 8-10 feet deep, and my friend was catching fish on the shallow flats holding baitfish. just a wonderful rig that has great potential, fish it from shore or on the boat. and you can make it work with any soft plastic. Lizards for spawning fish in beds, super flukes for active fish, and you can entice just about any fish with a 6 inch worm.

kinda looks like a guy wearing a kilt, haha i have not tried this bait and this post has also sparked my interest, im sure they'll catch fish but i wonder what the action is like compared to other creature baits, sorry for providing more questions then answers!

yeah i agree with bluebasser, i caught 4 last night around dusk, the fish would explode on the bait but the money hound wouldnt last more then 2 fish,

ill be trying them again tonight, 6'6 MH rod with 50lb braid

Maybe it has something to do with the rod reel line combo that is used along with it, any ideas?

what sizes and colors do you guys like the best?

the lowest water temperature ive caught anything on a frog was in the low 50s

I've always been a money minnow guy, but I've never tried basstrix, are they split belly?

Its all about the action you want, I dont remember the sizes I use off hand but as far as hooks go the more action I want from the bait the smaller hook I use and the larger weight. And the less action the bigger hook and lighter weight, experimentation is the biggest factor in finesse fishing

Cranks will always catch weeds, weedless hooks or not. This is the same problem I have at a local stomping ground. A switch to soft plastics may be the only thing to do, and you should pull fish out when fish go into their beds

Has anybody else tried these baits? They are Zara spook look alike but they are rigged weedless to get the walk the dog action on top of weeds. I've had a little success with them but what kind of luck have you had?

I tried doctor spinnerbait soft wire version, unbelievable action and it adjusts based off the retrieve
