  1. is it a buddy tourney on individual i dont fish jacomo much anymore but would be interested in fishing as a co-angler if possible pm me with some info and a contact number if you need a co-angler
  2. i use devcon 2 ton 30 minute epoxy on my lures as do quite a few other members some say thin it down with alcohol but i mix and brush and it seems to work fine
  3. theres a short snippet in the feb issue of the missouri conservationist when my 11 year old nephew read he got excited even though hes a few years away from high school lol
  4. thats rod abuse. why on earth would you do that to a awesome rod like a st croix??? dude needs to put the pipe down
  5. im a lefty and fish all right handed reels feel more comfortable controlling rod and bait with left hand and as stated above you dont need to switch hands before and after the cast so you get a few more presentations in during the course of a day
  6. me as well ive yet to catch a fish on either technique so finesse will get alot of attention this year im just gonna have to leave all the other baits at home and really focus on the post frontal days
  7. in Bill Siemantel's book the Big Bass Zone he states that he uses mono in most cases however he also says that braid would be considered for trolling or long lining or other non-casting presentations his new site thebbz.com is under construction right now but when its back up and running you should check it out very informative he is one of the big bait gurus also he uses a large snap swivel on his big baits which i do as well ive tried it tied direct but with the swivel you get a better swimming/hunting action out of the bait and the swivel doesnt seem to discourage the fish from eating those baits
  8. i use 17lb maxima mono for my 4-6 inch swimbaits i tried braid when i first started fishing them but had a tendency to pull the bait away from the fish the stretch helps me get a better hook-up jmho
