I fished it last weekend. The Lake is really low, I caught very few fish in the five fingers area which is where I normally like to go. Caught some around the Dam and right around the Twin Dikes Ramp.

Thanks Bluebasser, I just saw his reply and I miss understood the question I thought you meant off shore like not on the Bank. For bank fishing Bluebasser is right on point

Definitely the left coast has to change to make it economically feasible to do buisness there. With their regulations and not to mention the Taxes Im surprised anyone who fishes out there hasnt moved over here to TX yet. California has some amazing fisheries but the market and enviroment is Hostile to people who fenjoy our sport. It is sad what is going on out on the coast. I was up in Washington state recently and I couldnt believe the rules and regulations that govern fishing. All the way down to the size and shape of the hook you use.

Here is my two cents for what it is worth. I personally do not care for reality TV programming. That being said the Real Housewives of New Jersey has an audience of 1.7 Million. Where as Bass tournaments struggle to break the 300,000 mark. For tournament pro's to move the sport forward they have to bring in a larger fan base. Some have tried before and failed. This venture though has the biggest names in the sport. They arent out here to prove anything to us. They love the sport, they love to compete. I believe these anglers are trying to push this sport forward to garner bigger sponsors. NASCAR is the example they have been trying to model after and it hasnt brought the total numbers desired. In this market people want drama and conflict. That is what causes the average non angler to want to watch. Once you have non anglers watching and following the sport more sponsors and bigger payouts at all levels of competition. Just my two cents

I used to live up there. The mouth of school creek is usually good then head south of school creek on the west side of the lake there is a nice point. Then try the entrance to west rolling hills. If the bass fishing gets too tough tie on a bottom bouncer with a worm harness and youll catch a ton of hybrids

I am a huge fan of Navionic chips. I have them on my boat, on my computer and on my Iphone. If you are looking at small ponds those are not shown but everybody of water I fish is shown in great detail

Dont know when you plan on coming to Conroe but I fish it pretty regularly. Everything Backwater says is correct. I run a Skeeter FX 20 I usually always have a back seat open email me and we can see when Mitch

To tell you the truth there are some quality concerns with some baits. Alot of times you get what you pay for. But I believe if you have confidence in the bait you are throwing and it is a presentation the fish are willing to hit then you are going to have a great day. If the Fish dont like whatever is in your presentation it doesnt matter how expensive the lure is

I like the thermacell I havent found anything better and I havent had any trouble at trolling speeds

I have Carrot Stix and Veritas and to be honest I am extremly happy with both. no issue with breaking. I have landed a double digit fish this year with the Veritas no problems there. Both are comfortable and sensitive. My only dislike with the carrot stix are the ugly orange.

Ive used them and I am quite impresed caught an 8 lber on the second cast made me a believer

I did pull the trigger my brand new FX 20 is in Production now. This will be my first Skeeter and I couldnt be Happier with the entire Skeeter Team. Everyone there has been very helpful. I just left the owners tournament even though my Skeeter isnt ready yet. I have to say the ride is remarkable and I cant wait till pick up date. I will post pictures then
