Please take the boat to a boat repair shop for professional repairs. Then, ask the technicians about the motors and the proper way to care for them. I walk back into the shop area and alwas speak with the mechanic who worked on my boat and motors. So far (knock on wood) I have not had any problems, other than knocking the tansducer off of my trollling motor, but that was my fault for going places normal people don't go with their boats. After you have the repairs completed and discuss the care topics with the mechanics, you will be in a good position to avoid future problems. Just don't forget to set the "kill switch" correctly when you start the boat or she won't start and that little switch can send you over the edge trying to figure out why the motor will not start. I know. Believe me, I know. ;D

And he is Louisiana through and through and he is a very good bass fisherman and if you can go with him fishing. Going with Catt fishing is second only to an LSU football game.

Patience. Add patience to the above formula data the guys have given you. When fishing a Senko, watch your line. You can keep a finger on the line, but it is imperative that you watch your line as it will move when the fish takes the Senko. When the line starts to move, slowly point your rod tip at the bait, reel in the slack, set your feet, and rip the rod fast and hard over your head to set the hook. A solid six (6) foot range is excellent when setting the hook. Be sure to set your feet or you can fall down with the power you will be using to set that hook. You will miss some as they have the tail of the bait in their mouth. But you will also catch more than you miss. Some other suggestions to consider: 1. Use an attractant, like JJ's Magic or Megastrike. Some bass will hold onto the bait longer if it tasts or smells good. 2. Fish the Senko wacky rigged using a weedless hook. 3. Flouro line, only. No mono. Use mono for treble hook baits. 4. Continue to use a baitcaster for its power and ability to fight a big fish. 5. A 12 pound test is fine. You can go higher if you want or go to an abrasive resistant line if necessary. But don't overdo the line strength. 12 pound test is usually fine for Senko fishing. Just remember to be patient. I lose more fish on Senkos as I am a Type A personality and I just can't wait to set that hook. Let them run with the Senko for at least 4 to 5 seconds, which can be a lifetime on the water. But you have to let them take the bait in their mouths and then set the hook, hard. Very hard. One last observation. See where you are hooking the fish. Front lip; right side; left side; middle and back of mouth; etc. This will tell you if you are letting the fish run enough when setting the hook. Good luck and keep throwing those Senkos and *** baits.

Yes, good ole Southern cooking. My aunt's kitchen and breakfast room always had a wonderful smell to them when I was growing up. It was only a few years ago that I finally discovered what the wonderful smell was. It was butter. Beautiful, creamy, delicious butter. No wonder everything she mad was outstanding.

Visited a friend's pond in Dinwiddie County, Virignia this morning and caught a lot of beautiful bass. The largest was 5.88 pounds. Others weighed: 4.44 4.00 2.97 2.97 3.91 2.41 Caught a lot of one and one and a half pounders, too. I misses six beauties; had to use the paddle boat to retrieve my SPRO Bronzeye frog, a spinnerbait and an expensive jig and pig out of the wood; had three break off causing me to lose one of my Cavitron buzzbaits (another line in water that I did not see cut my line with the fish on it), a pink trick worm and a Senko. One hit my Rage Tail crawfish on the first cast. Another took the minnow swimbait on the second cast. When one hit my pink trick worm I set the hook, slipped and fell in the mud. I was covered on my left side from my shoulder to my shoes with mud. It was funny, I must admit. And I missed the fish, too. All together it was a great morning. Tried to take photos and will send them to this post if they came out. Later

Have seen them in the literature but never tried one. The premise is that the bait will move when the fish hits it making for more hookups. I have taken a buzzbait and cut the shank in half and then reattached the sections with a barrel swivel and will give it a test tomorrow at a private pond in Dinwiddie County. What we need is to have Jason buy some and give them a try and if they work then we can go and get some. ;D ;D ;D

Mag brakes are simple to use and understand. And you can tell when they are on and off.

Please check out the Reel Mechanic's posts in the rod and reel section as he discusses how to stop backlashes. I will PM you regarding your baitcaster setup, etc. , Just remember to say "Go Tigers" when you cast. It will bring you lots and lots of luck. ;D

Idaho, Sorry for your experience. I can really feel your pain. I still have nightmares about the one on Lake Gaston that took my favorite Bandit 200 Shad crankbait and took off for Chicago. ;D Just Crazy for Bass made some excellent suggestions, especially about checking your line guides. Take a Q-Tip and run it around all of your rod's line guides. If any of the cotton sticks to the line guides then you have a nick. Also, as Road Warrior said, check your drag. That was my problem when she decided to make a run and my line broke on Lake Gaston. I plum forgot to check the drag. Talk about dumb. I was too excited about throwing at the grass on the point we came upon and just casted out without doing my homework on the boat. And to support what Just Crazy for Bass wrote, go back. She is still around the area. Keep trying to catch her. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Hey Clayton, Believe it or not the people who work in the court system can be nice. Most are sort of wound tight but if you talk to them and find out the name of the judge maybe you can get everything straightened out. Just be polite and nice in your letter and ask the court if they can help you. They may say no, but at least you tried. If there is a law school around maybe one of the law students will help you. Check with any law schools in your area and see if they can help. You need to get this cleared up if you will be seeking a career change ad to get it off of your record. Good luck.

I have seen the pond in Spottsy and it is beautiful. I have no idea of how to get into it other than transport your boat and equipment on foot. I don't know what fish are in it. Sorry, wish I could have been more help.
