  1. Always. Never had a problem, and fluoro is what I use on 95% of my rigs.
  2. I cleaned it out really well; greased and oiled lightly. Works like a charm. Thank you again Gentlemen!
  3. That's what I was thinking. Is there a way i can fix the switch? I have had the reel for three years, and i have maintained and oiled appropriately. I first noticed it early this year, when i hooked up with a big one and my reel started spinning the wrong way. I am not sure if it has to do with being inexperienced, because i am not inexperienced.
  4. It doesnt lock up, you can pretty much crank it in reverse with ease. Just as if you had the switch to 'Off". So really, the antireverse is not working at all.
  5. Hi Everyone, I have a Quantum Energy PTI 10 spinning reel that i absolutely love. The trouble is; the anti-reverse is malfuntioning, and i really cant use it. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and if so, do they have an idea of how to fix it? Thanks for your time.
  6. I have the Abu Garcia STX20 as mentioned above, 139.99.... i love it.
  7. I love my 5'6 Falcon. I use it with a spinnning reel when wading in the river/stream for Smallie. Also use when I go to areas with a lot of overhanging trees.
  8. 12 LBS Fluorocarbon on a casting rod is my favorite for crankin'. 30 Lbs with a 12 Lbs fluoro leader for carolina rigging. 8 Lbs Fluorocarbon with my spinning outfit.
  9. haha awesome! I really appreciate it. I think this stuff would be awesome for the Carolina rig, I still dont know if am confident enough to try using it though. I still think it may have an affect depending on water clarity.... usually i am fishing really murky waters.
  10. Hi everyone, I found some ultra bright fluorescent orange line (30 lbs braided) in my basement the other day. I was thinking that it would be pretty cool to have this as my main line on my Carolina Rig, however, I am extremely leary of the bright color. Does anyone know if the main line color on a Carolina Rig can have an effect on the fishing? I still want to be able to catch fish on the Carolina Rig... Typically I use spider wire low vis green with a 12 lbs Vanish fluorocarbon leader. Please help, I posted this earlier but I think the title may have detered users just as the line may deter fish.
  11. I appreciate your post, however, I am looking for something with a little more information. Will the bright colored main line deter fish even when using a leader?
