I heard a few years ago about a possible Tourny on Ray Scotts Dream Lake, using barbless hooks and only 4 pound line. That would be fun to watch!!

This may sound simple because it is, I use a wrist sweat band and put one on each wrist and stick a hand warmer in each one, the heat from the hand warmer circulates the blood flow from the veins under my wrist keeping me nice and toasty! Besides that Head Wear Good Socks Layered Gloves (I buy $1 store and cut off the finger tips) Ski gloves for driving Layers upon Layers of warm clothes and a water proof outer wear.

I keep a first aid kit in the boat with alcohol wipes, triple antibiotic and band aids for cut or hooks (long story) most of the time I rinse my hands after releasing a fish.

My neighbor who has not been fishing in two years saw my pics on FB and wanted to go chase SMB. Ned Rig PB&J was the ticket again and as always my son was on them! My neighbor caught the big fish of the day as well 82 degrees in October in Kansas is crazy!! People where actually out water skiing Saturday!!

Fished Saturday with Jake and my neighbor John, who had not been fishing in two years. Caught a bunch of dinks to start the trip, I switched to a heavier jig head 3/8 and a 1/4 oz to see if I could get the ned down pass the dinks and on to some bigger fish. The change up worked my neighbor John hooked up a football and Jake and I caught a steady mix of 2's, most on the left side of the dam PB&J Zmans. Sun tan in late October in KC gotta love it!! It was nice to see a few folks out enjoying the weather as well!!

In deep water or moving current I use a hammer spoon. Deep water I mark bait fish and in current I look for a deeper drop area and keep a tight line. First two pics are deep water 30+ feet the last is moving water maybe 5-6 feet deep, I use a piece of floating worm to try and float the hooks off the bottom in moving water. While Bluessaer was catching Hybrids I was catching drum as you can see.
